If Bradford waits and everything else plays out, he's likely in Denver for a little less money per year but maybe for more years, and Denver likely doesn't take Lynch. Denver also wouldn't have gone with Sanchez.

So you'd have Sanchez and Chase and Wentz in Philly (a better combo for gradually sliding Wentz into the rotation imo) and Bradford in Denver.

But hey, he signed the deal and didn't want to wait to see what happened on the carousel.

In this scenario, I wonder where Lynch would've gone. Possibly to Dallas in round 2.

Sam wanted too much. Elway would have never paid him that.

You don't get a lot of chances to repeat.

Insane that fans would be spouting management speak about it. I would bet the fucking farm to have a chance. Your defense earned that right but eh different opinions I guess.

Changing gears. Which of you would actually consider bangbusing as was proposed in that thread? Maybe it is because I have a working brain but being in a porno set never appealed to me.

So you say Manning was shit last year by your admission but say we can't repeat because we didn't break open the piggybank on Bradford?

10 out of the 12 pieces are returning from last year on D, counting Roby in there. If the QB can keep TOs down, and possibly make some plays we've got a shot.

Not to dismiss what the Broncos did last season, but the AFC had a ton of injury issues that helped pave the way for them despite suboptimal QB play. If Dalton wasn't injured, if Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell weren't injured, if the Patriots weren't the most injured team in the league, would the Broncos have made it to the Super Bowl? Maybe, but probably not. That's not to discredit the shellacking they gave the Panthers when they got there, which wasn't really related to injuries at all, but I think that right now they're about as unlikely to repeat as any team in some time, maybe since the 02 Patriots.

I wonder if a team has ever repeated after losing their QB

Edit: Nope

Defenses always fall off after a SB win. Not sure why. To have a chance to repeat the offense actually has to do something this year.

And I don't think the opinion that Manning played worse than any qb to win a SB was unique to me.

Really? I mean it's what I've been saying the whole time.

Nobody predicted a repeat.

If my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle btw.

And on second thought Pats were largely fully healthy when they met Denver in the AFCCG.

Busted OL, but same for Denver. Everyone needs a little luck to win.

Dolphins were close, they lost Griese for most of the season only came back for SB I think and then they won again the next year.

In fact I had a conversation with Godslay before the superbowl about how similar the QB situation was with Den compared to what happened to Miami in 72' and they both won!!

Sanchez isn't even a capable game manager. Better hope Lynch can come in by week 5 or 6 and save the day. Sanchez isn't your guy.

Sanchez made it to AFC Champioship game twice I think he beat the Pats both times along the way there. And he always loses to the Steelers.

I have always been a fan of his...

Hmm usually isn't too bad on the north side of town.

Unless you got screwed on the southwest side..

The entire stretch from 610 all the way to the other side's 8 were complete stoppage.

Anyway, I got lucky and they actually offered me a seat closer to the front.

tequila is the worst of all time

No good comes from Tequila

Ever

It's not only the most sorority of hard liquors (as well as tasting like shit) but the hangover is ridiculous. What a fad bullshit liquor that needs to die in favor of anything else.

Except gin because god damn it I hate gin!

Like I said before, the only time I take tequila shots is

(A) when they are paid for by someone else

(B) when they involve women (I.E. another example where the pursuit of tail is man's ultimate mission on this Earth)

It has an absurd amount of presentation (that whole lime and salt bit) just for the payoff to be awful tasting alcohol and bad hangovers

Since I'm only a year removed from college tho, I still remember the many many tequila shots very well

Tequila is great, but it creates barfing and hangovers. High quality bud hits let you celebrate and work the next day.

Lol at how sad colasante is that the Broncos won. King of speculation he is.

Pats fans are the worst.

He can game manage. He won't have to run that garbage Chip offense, so that's a bonus in his favor.
I think Chips offense was pretty great for crap qbs. Totally coddled them and was able to still put up decent yards and points.

When Ben leaves I would not mind a Chipesque offense to help with whatever Garbo qb we replace him with.

If you think the Broncos would have defeated the Steelers with a healthy Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, that's cool, I just disagree. I also think a healthy Steelers team would have beaten the Patriots in the playoffs last year too, so it's not like I'm just saying this to blow smoke up the Patriots' ass. It is what it is.

Luck is a big part of football. More than most other sports.

You could also say that the Steelers were fortunate to play an extremely generous team from Ohio who had the game won but in a fit of generosity let the Steelers advance instead.

Broncos won on the strength of Peyton's looming retirement.

Never underestimate the retirement run. It carried the Steelers, Rats and Broncos to championships.

Things might have been different too if Von Miller played in the Super Bowl in 2013. Really me stating that is about the same high level of speculation if I actually did believe it.
