PFF's list of worst off season moves.

10. Vikings assembling the best O-line of 2012…in 2016
9. Eagles handing Chase Daniel a $21 million contract to be a No. 3 QB
8. Falcons drafting Keanu Neal in the first round
7. Browns rolling into 2016 with RG III as the presumptive starter at QB
6. Seahawks drafting Germain Ifedi in the first round
5. Giants making Janoris Jenkins one of the best-paid CBs (five years, $62.5 million, $29 million guaranteed)
4. Jets drafting QB Christian Hackenberg in the second round
3. Falcons signing WR Mohamed Sanu to a five-year, $32.5 million contract
2. Buccaneers drafting a kicker in the second round
1. Texans handing Brock Osweiler $72 million based on seven games

no lies detected
Jenkins did indeed get overpaid to hell and back but when you've got 60 million in cap space, a cap floor, years of poor drafting and the worst defense in the NFL that easily cost you at least 4 wins last season....yeah, you're going to overpay.

Yeah, it's not like we really had any better options at the moment.

Yeah you guys are getting a lot of shit for actually doing a smart signing,

I'd said overpaying for OV was a worst mistake.

Sadly no. Chase will be an Eagle for 2 years. His dead money in year 3 is only $1m so that is when he will be gone. It just sucks cause that is money that should be going to the holding on to Cox fund.
I don't worry about the cap with Howie. Daniel is not even a #3 here. He's the #2 and he's going to be teaching the offense. In a non contending year I see no problem paying for a guy like that. I see a problem with bringing Bradford back if the plan was to move up, but at the time the opportunity wasn't available.

Capitalize. Treat Tyrod well and give him a big contract

and brad stevens got a contract extension

what a day!

What's fun is both of these have the same reply. I hope it works out and the wheels aren't already falling off their respective wagons. The Celtics are in prime position to just drop all the money on a top FA...

Buffalo, well, we gave an infinite contract on a QB that did really well for a year and half. I think they just got out from under that what, last year? We'll see. If he does well and they don't open their wallets, I'll be annoyed, but not surprised.

Team #RG3. This isn't the Brown's year. With Fitz there's too high of a chance they accidentally win a few games. RG III is a win/win.

2019. That's when the Browns actually try to put that winning season together.

Look forward to Aguayo missing his first kick. The bobbleheads will be out in force yet no one will remember the other no talent clowns drafted in the second round when Aguayo is inducted. :denial

Elway. The God.

We'll see.

...and if he lights it up this year opposite JPP? You willing to eat a plate of crow if that's the case? :)

He still isn't going to be worth the ridiculous overpay regardless. At least its nothing more than a two year deal and the team can move on from it easily past that point. Its just 52 million wasted if that's the case. Shitty but not cap strangling with the way the deal is structured.

Considering how other players that left the Dolphins go on to have great careers with other teams I expect him to make the HOF so yes I'll eat that crow
but I'm pretty sure I'll be ok with my prediction

He got an outrageous pay, but I was okay with the OV signing. The pass rush was straight ass last year. Damon Harrison got some big bucks too and he's alright in my book. Should at the very least help keep the LB's clean (just don't miss the tackle, brehs). But Jenkins is a gambler and they'll need OV, JPP, Big Hank, etc. to get some pass rush going otherwise he will get burned. Would have been nice if Prince could stay healthy for once and re-signed him but that wasn't happening.

Where's Scott Mitchell?

Edit: Real talk though I'd put Favre at #2 ahead of Young and Aikman. And Marino, Kelly and Warner ahead of Aikman.

I'd almost put Favre at #1.

Is there a thread for it?

Also is making fun of DM over Roberto Aguayo still kosher?

Didn't see a thread for this most recent incident yet. When it inevitably comes up, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens.

And drafting a kicker in the second round is never exempt.

Hey Xia, is it still 300 posts to become a full time member?

I think so? I think there's a minimum time as well.
