I was a bit more optimistic than that, thinking we'd finish at .500 or a game above. It's clear that the organization is trending in the correct direction since our new GM came in. This team is just now stabilizing from years of horrible drafting, they finally have some decent depth at most positions.

IMHO they're still about 1-2 drafts away from being a "true contender". But it's great seeing competent football, we went so long without seeing a product that you could feel optimistic about.

Yeah, I think we need another DB and a LB right now on Defense. Offense-wise we need to sew up the left side. We're close to being where we want to be. GMSM's done of a helluva job so far...and that's just by getting Snyder out of the way ;)

I'm starting to think that it might be better to just get two middle of the road receivers in FA instead of going all out on Jeffery. Even if the WR corps is still bad, they'd be an improvement over Agholor and DGB. Agholor is broken, and DGB is lazy. If the Eagles even got two guys who could get like 700 yd 5 TD seasons I'd be happy. This receiving corps is just abysmal

What if...hear me out, Wentz is not throwing catchable balls.

I'm not nearly football literate enough to say that's impossible. But I'd agree with that only if Bradford, Sanchez, and Foles also threw uncatchable balls. Which is possible, but unlikely, since Bradford didn't have trouble with drops with the Rams to my knowledge, and he hasn't had problems with receivers catching with the Vikings. Considering this has been a problem for 3 years now, and it coincided with the Eagles getting rid of all of their WR talent, I'm not going to blame Wentz. Now if we got someone like prime Fitzgerald and it kept happening, I'd start blaming the kid. But we need new receivers before I'll blame him.

Breeland is a decent 2nd QB. Our rookie Fuller has been good in the slot. And there's Dunbar, the converted receiver who's came up big plenty of games. We need safeties in a bad way but they're hard to come by.

Our inside LB's are set. We need a pass rushing specialist to compliment Kerrigan and Murphy who are both slows as f**k. We also need another dominant DT. I think we'll see more contributions from McCloughans draft picks soon.

Yeah I could see Floyd and someone like Kenny Britt or Kendall Wright. Not world beaters but they can at least do something. Has to be for the right price though. If we could get both of them for around $11M a year contracts combined, I'd kick the tires on them. That way even if they suck it won't set things too far back. That WR corps wouldn't scare anyone but it would at least be around average, and would give us time to fill out the other needs on the team and draft a developmental receiver in the later rounds

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

Maybe just one offseason. Redskins roster is really solid in my opinion. Gruden also is probably much better than I assumed when he got hired.

Why do I have a feeling that we are destined for a Giants/Patriots Super Bowl, again. I'm just getting so much deja vu from both of them this year

Giants NEED/HAVE to beat the Browns this Sunday to make the playoffs.. after the Browns i think they will go 2-3..

Wins
Lions
Washington

Loses
Cowboys
Eagles
Steelers..

If they beat the Browns and win 2 of the next 5 they will be 10-6 should be good for a WC berth..

EDIT:Giants final 6 games 4 on the road..

Cant even go based on who can throw the ball well (against our junior college secondary) because those teams also have really good defenses.

We could easily lose out every game.

kill me

When the aliens found the gif, it was all that remained of human civilization and their grief was immense. They connected the iPad to a black hole and encased it in a stasis field. The gif would loop now until the absolute heat death of the universe. They would never meet a human, nor know what the animated imaged portended, but they hoped by imbuing it with eternal life that one day yellow player 51 would step out of that loop and do something cool, or that the image would stop being so embarrassing. After all, eternity was full of possibilities.".

They are on fire. That Pats game at the end of the season might be a big deal because I think Miami has a winnable schedule till then.
I have been conditioned not to trust the Dolphins so I can't really think about playoffs right now but it was incredibly refreshing seeing that comeback yesterday. That doesn't happen with any Dolphins team of the past 15 years, they just never had the backbone. What's impressive to me is that the team is finding ways to win and it's never the same way... Ajayi going off, Drake on special teams, Kiko with the pick 6, Tannehill taking over... It's just been an incredible string of events from an overachieving team playing with a lot of fire. They have injuries and a lot of holes but somehow they are finding ways to get it done; the sign of a well coached team.

My concern now is that the new coach smell will wear off and it'll be back to typical Dolphins football, but only time will tell. Either way it's remarkable to me that this 1-4 dumpster fire is now 6-4 and one of the hottest teams in the league. Who saw that coming?

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill learning how to deliver in the clutch

The fifth-year veteran, who often struggled throughout his career in fourth quarters, has suddenly developed the ability to perform in the clutch. Tannehill produced his third consecutive game-tying or game-winning drive during Miami’s 14-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Tannehill was deadly accurate late. He was 12-of-13 passing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on Miami’s final two drives. That included a 9-yard touchdown pass to receiver DeVante Parker for the go-ahead score.

"I told the guys right before that going on that first touchdown drive, 'Hey, everyone take a deep breath. We’re going to win this game,'" Tannehill said. "And that’s what we did."
Probably his worst season statistically but he's making plays when he needs to.

Why didn't Dougie call a timeout on the play that he knew agahlor was lined up illegally? Take the timeout and tell him to move forward then run the play again. Doug has been a better coach then I expected but man he does some really dumb shit.

Of all the people to get mad at about that play, lol.

He didn't know it was going to go for a TD and didn't want to waste the timeout. It was the right move, since he had them stored up for the end of the half where the Eagles were marching but were stopped by the Wentz INT. Timeout would've been a waste on that.
What doubly sucks is that play seemed to completely kill the game. Wentz was sharp before that and if that play happened they would've been up 14-13 and kept the game close. But after that play it's everything collapsed

Panthers will go 4-2 over their last 6 games. Because 8-8 is a lifestyle

They'll somehow beat the Raiders then get curbstomped by the Seahawks then beat the Supahchargers, then lose to the Fighting Josh Normans in the "Hindsight is 20/20" Bowl, then beat the Falcons and Bucs to end the year

Wow the Packers are horrible.

I wonder if the team checked out on McCarthy. I used to think he was a good coach. Upon further consideration now I am pretty close to putting him in the garbage can.

Also, holy fuck we are worse than the Texans. Coates better come back healthy for Turkey day. I can't take a loss to the Colts. I can't take it dammit!

We are going to have a Cowboys/Pats Super Bowl I just know it. And then the bad guys will have won and we will all have to quit football together. :(

Apparently he's healthy enough to make tackles on special teams...

Happy victory Monday fellow olds! Per David Moore, Dak was 6-6 in the 4th quarter yesterday, he's 20-22 in the 4th in the last 3 games.

I saw the Texans record earlier this week and it still doesn't seem right.

Also, who the fuck thought it was a good idea to play a football game at that altitude? It is one thing to be gassed in soccer. Gives the home team a big advantage late in the game. But in football? You are going to get fucked up and hurt if you play tired...

Its a shame that I don't run the NFL. I would fix this league in a New York minute. My first action of course would be to force Kraft to sell the Pats to a new owner and to ban Brady and Bill from football. The false titles would be given to the Eagles, Browns and two other teams yet to be decided. Being the kind person I am I would of course give them jobs in the NFL to repay them for what they contributed to the NFL. I would assign both of them to the Jets. Bill could work in PR and Brady would be an executive team manager in charge of balls, equipment (including but not limited to strap ons) and conditioning.
