NFL 2016 Week 17 |OT| Miami has the Dolphins...the Greatest football team...

ESPN Stats and Information

If the Dallas Cowboys win Sunday in Philadelphia, they will have a 10-win improvement from last season. That would tie the 1999 Colts and 2008 Dolphins for the biggest win turnaround in NFL history, according to Elias Sports Bureau research.

Kubiak stepping down because of health concerns has been talked about quite a bit recently here in town so if it's true, it doesn't shock me one bit. Maybe staying as an offensive coordinator wouldn't have been so bad for him health wise. His coaching style may drive me up a wall but he's well liked here in Denver.

Sad news. I love Kubes. His hire last year felt right, like it was restoring the franchise to a proper state. I thought the offensive issues were more a function of OL talent than coaching (though I would have been more than fine w/ some changes to the assistant coaches)

I noticed these rumblings popping up over the last few weeks so I can't say I'm shocked. Just disappointed that we now have another year of offseason turmoil.

Hopefully Irsay does the right thing and fires Pagano and Grigson. It'd be great in Jimmy Harbs came back to the pros and took over

So have we talked about the Niners being a fucking joke franchise for firing a coach after one season yet? That's the kind of shit that keeps new coaches away and turns you into the Browns. Who would want to work there for just a year?

Niner fans better hope that it comes out that Chip Kelly really wanted out.

Gotta let the new GM bring in their own guy

I can't believe you are one of the most reasonable posters in the thread. Why even hire chip if you are going to fire him after one year. I hope the 9ers never win another game.

Hey bead the wife asked me tonight why you don't play games anymore?
It probably has nothing to do with the record, and has to do with chip as an individual. Maybe the players don't like him.

John Fox almost died from a heart attack as a Bronco. Came back healthier and slimmer. Gary should put his health first at 55. I still want to have him back if the Broncos can improve the offensive line and actually make a great run game for his system.

So...Coaching Positions

Known: Jaguars, Bills, Rams

Probable: Broncos, Chargers, Bears, 49ers

Maybe: Colts, Bengals, Browns

49ers firing 2 HC's in 2 straight years would the be the first time this has happened in 30 years...since the 49ers did it

Did the players not like Jim Harbaugh either?

There was never a clear answer either way. When they were winning, everything was fine, and when they lost, Harbaugh took it personally. As has been seen from his field outbursts, he blames everyone but him when it all comes down.

At the very least, Jed and everyone else in upper management was willing to tolerate it when it had positive results (wins). That was all the leverage he had, and I wouldn't be shocked if that was also the case with the players' mentality to him

Hopefully for the 49ers sake, they get somebody they really like this time.

I heard the Niners are interested in winning again and bringing back the man who at one point had the best winning percentage of any coach.

Jim Tomsula.

I don't like firing a coach after one season, but it does seem that plenty of players hate Chip. Ain't going to win much with that going on.

As much as losing today could help the Broncos get a better pick in the draft it sends the team the wrong message. It is the losing team's mentality. This season still matters. Showing the team that they could have been in the playoffs by winning today shows them what is expected next year.

Not losing.

Beat the Raiders!
