What does this even mean? He had 3 great years and one good year, that's it
I always thought Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson putting up great years right after TD's success would have put a sting to his chances, but I guess not. His playoff numbers are incredible though.

Kurt is another one. Best success came with HOFers and the wins Bulger had in his absence. I hear media people be "Imagine if he had played a normal career length..." ignoring the six or so nothing years he had in between the Rams and Cards success.

This is a joke right?

Romo's stats:
34,183 yards
248 TD
65.3 completion percentage (5th best in NFL history)
97.1 rating (fourth best in NFL history)
His career 7.9 yards-per-attempt average
His career touchdown-to-interception ratio ranks fourth, behind Rodgers, Brady and Manning but ahead of modern-day studs Brees, Steve Young, Warner, Dan Marino and John Elway.

The Cowboys have won 61.0 percent of his regular-season starts. That ranks seventh among active quarterbacks with at least 100 starts, ahead of Brees and Eli Manning, as well as Hall of Famers Troy Aikman, Y.A. Tittle, Bobby Layne, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts and Warren Moon.

He was the second-highest-rated passer in NFL history *through January of 2015), with a rating that trumps presumed Hall of Famers Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees

Hall of Fame needs to let Tony be great give him the first ballot nod.

Miami and former Bears QB Jay Cutler are finalizing a one-year deal, sources tell ESPN. Two sides are expected to hammer it out shortly.

Yeah, it's officially looking like Kaep ain't getting back into the NFL ever

fucking cowards

This is the only time this off season where the choice not to sign Kaep makes sense. Cutler knows Gases's offense and had his best season under him

The Ravens thing was just black balling. Signing a QB from an arena league team

Should have sent Luck there since Indy is just trying to kill him

tbh surprised he didn't retire after that CTE thing came out a week or so ago

Yup, don't even think Cutler gets an offer there if not for Gase.

It's the Hall of Fame. It should be the place for the best of the best players. Tony Romo was good, Tony Romo is not one of the best players of all time.

He did not win anything big, he did not have the best stats, he's been injured a lot, he lost some games due to his own mistakes (Seattle). It makes no sense.

The Gase thing is such a lazy excuse though, yeah that one season was his only good year in a decade but even that wasn't a particularly great year and we all know he wouldn't have repeated it if Gase had stayed in Chicago for another season.

Dude kept fucking up while throwing to Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey and people are still trying to make excuses for the league's racist bullshit.

Is not an excuse. Coaches and GMs in this league are working to keep their jobs from year to year. Cutler knows the system and there is basically 3 weeks of TC left to get acclimated.

I have been prettu damn open about the black balling of Kaep but to say Im making excuses for the league is not correct

Like I said the Ravens signing an arena league QB with zero NFL experience over Kaep is obvious black balling but the Miami situation is far different. Convenient reason to not sign him? Maybe, but at least they have one

Romo is not a first ballot inductee, he will never be in unfortunately but he was a great QB. One SB and it would have changed everything. His stats in the amount of games he played are fantastic, people compare him to Rivers but i'd argue Romo is just as deserving of hall of fame mention as Rivers who people speak about as a potential inductee when Rivers does not deserve it based on what you said about Romo

Chris has had a rough week Dutch... he doesn't need your betrayal

You’re right. Are the Ravens going to sign him?

The Ravens could still scrape through the deepest and darkest part of the QB barrel and get a guy like Shaun Hill, Bruce Gradkowski, Charlie Whitehurst before going Kaep. But at that point they might just be better letting Danny Woodhead play QB and use the Wildcat.
