I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess losing to the jets doesn't count.

You nailed it.

Our highest paid defensive player (CB Tre White) is out.
Both of our safeties, often called the best safety tandem in the league, were out.
Our best LB (Matt Milano) was out.
Our athletic freak starting RT (S Brown) was out.

VS

Jets were perfectly healthy.

NY played against our backup defensive unit and almost lost. This is another win in terms of separating ourselves from the rest of the league. Also, loved seeing them celebrate like it was their Super Bowl. The league knows Buffalo is the Alpha and the Omega this year. We still have a perfect real record.

But really, don't respond to this. I'm on vacation from this thread. I shouldn't have really even typed up this response.

Colts hiring who they want to hire.

The horror.
Hiring a guy that has literally no coaching experience beyond a season as a high school coach to coach a team that has multiple former head coaches on staff already. It's ridiculous no matter how you slice it. Even if you wanna say that they just wanted a popular former player they have Reggie Wayne as their WR coach. They also do not have a single person on staff that has ever performed playcalling duties.

They are going to get roasted for this. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other owners give Irsay a call over this.

Very funny, but it will be more than just that.

Depending on how it goes this could have some far reaching consequences for them.

We will all remember where we were when we first learned Jeff Saturday was hired as the 2022 Indianapolis Colts interim head coach. Reeeee.

You are actively pretending to be dumber than I know you are right now. Stop. It's embarrassing.

The team has several previous head coaches on staff and just fired an in-house coach. Instead of hiring an interim head coach from within their own ranks who are at the very least familiar with the goings on in the building they just hired a guy who has no coaching experience at all beyond high school football off a fucking desk at ESPN. Not only does that shine a horrible light on the front office itself, but it shows that the organization is guided more by the owners whims rather than anything resembling a cohesive management structure. It also sends a strong message to the coaches that have been there and put in the time to be considered in any other situation on any other team that they are essentially irrelevant to the front office.

All of this will affect them in the future when they try to attract front office talent and coaching prospects.

Do we know if any of the in house guys were offered the job? It's a shit job right now. At best it's a half year of losing and negative experience on the resume. Everyone knows no matter who gets the interim job would be hc next year. Hell, Saturday could be taking one for the team here. Does he want to be an NFL coach?

Now if it comes out that they didn't offer it to guys like Reggie or other in house coaches, I'll be right there with you saying fuck em.

I'm not saying fuck em. I'm saying they will cach shit for it and I think they deserve it.

I'm nowhere near the level of vitriol of some people out there.

Stop asking questions M Moneal

Social media has got us trained to...

- Jump to conclusions without wanting clarity. Speed is always better than accuracy when we're on our screens.
- Care about work related issues of multimillionaire NFL coaches. Us teachers + plumbers need to defend the wealthy elite because no one else will.

Who cares who is an interim coach during the season. When you fire a coach during the season, your season is basically over. Sure there is that rare occasion that it works out and a team gets momentum for the playoffs.

If the interim coach is coming from the outside like Jeff Saturday is then the owner had no confidence of anyone in this coaching staff or in the building. The owner must really trust Jeff Saturday to bring him back from Georgia. Take it for what it is the Colts season is over like my Panthers season is over! 😂

This is time to evaluate the players and possibly evaluate those assistant coaches! Those are playing and coaching for their future either with Colts or other teams.

Next season Possibly new GM or coach or both will want to build with their own personnel.

Please don’t suck worst then my Panthers we want the highest pick 😂

Why can't you separate the art from the artist on this one?
Because Rodgers is the face of the franchise and we live or die by his performance. If the problem player was a backup linebacker or something I would still be on board.

But as long as that douche canoe is under center I can't bring myself to root for the Pack right now.

Cracking game. I don't much like either of these teams but this is great. My jokey prediction of these 2 meeting in the super bowl to see who can get to 5 losses doesn't seen so far fetched ATM.

Never count out Aaron Rodgers. I think they still whiff the season overall, but I could see them maybe getting a wildcard spot.
