Or end up losing 4 more Super Bowls in a row.

What a waste taking up AFC spots then.

I propose a new rule for the NFL thread. Only fans of #1 ranked Power Ranking teams can have a voice here. If your team is #1 on a reputable national power ranking list, you can preach to the plebs and everyone else must listen.

All in favor say Aye!

What time is it?
My backup quarterback is better than your starter. Change my mind.

Sticks vs Donald was epic.

Nearly game time again. I'm expecting the chiefs to utterly destroy the raiders so I guess the raiders will win in OT then the way my picks have been going.

Can anyone explain this commercial to me? They play it all the time during football games...

I can't get my head around what the writers were going for here. Lebron is a customer...who decrees new policy for AT&T...while the woman just repeats him...them Lebron feels like he's accomplished something but they barely lean into it...and then she asks him if he's coming for her job because...?

Are they just banking on confusion as the mechanic to get people talking about the ad?

Al Michaels is really distracting. I cant make my mind up if...
A ) he is drunk
B ) he left his teeth out
C ) He's had a stroke
D ) He's just too damn old for this and should sod off
E ) all of the above

Either way I'm not really concentrating on this presumably amazing high quality game.

Is nobody watching today? Waiting on the late games? Nice to see the vikes get the win before the bye. They really need to stop slacking in the last quarter though.

I'm watching. We had the atlanta game in the UK which wasn't all that great. Got the main event now though. Hopefully lots of scoring and the bills doing the decent thing and losing in OT again :)

Our offense being trash catching up to us and Cooper's luck stat went from Dak to Romo tonight. Hopefully we've seen enough of Lamb to know not to pay him.

Can Broncos cut Russell Wilson or are they stuck with him for the duration of that contract? I'd start tanking if I'm Broncos GM.

Almost time for the thursday night battle of the bad teams with the cardinals and saints attempting to edge slightly closer to a winning record. For some reason the cards are playing in black so I'm gonna support them in this one. Any excuse not to support the saints :)

Been meaning to jump in this thread but I’m a Panthers fan, wasn’t expecting much from Baker Mayfield. An now here we are! Whole sale rebuild again.

Congrats 49ers getting Christian McCaffrey! We will miss him. But still rooting against you we need those picks to be higher! 😂

Also notice Gaf is Nostradamus Panthers aren’t even in the poll. Well deserved to not be in it 😂

Good to have Tua back (but don't run and lower the head, lad... slide, slide), and the defense showed up in key moments when needed. Deep backup corners and safeties putting the flex on.

What the hell Panthers! Supposed to be tanking to get a QB in next draft! NFC south sucks! 😆
It's incredible. The Panthers actually looked like a real NFL team yesterday. Addition by subtraction with Rhule out. They clearly want to play for Wilks, and that means a lot. Rhule always came off as inauthentic (son of a preacher man), and more of a talker than a coach with any substance behind him. So glad he's out.

And the funny thing is that we're only a game out of first. If we beat Atlanta next week and Tampa loses to Baltimore - both very real possibilities, we'd be in first (by virtue of tie breaks) and 3-0 in the division, controlling our own destiny, lol.

The o-line is revamped and playing very well overall, and the D has plenty of young talent, with some key pieces injured (Horn/Chinn). PJ looked better than Baker or Darnold ever have yesterday, and we still have no idea what we have in Corral. And the run game looked the best it has looked all year *after* the CMC trade. Getting those 4 picks for an oft-injured, albeit incredibly talented, RB look great right now, and we get out from under a contract that should have never been given, despite suffering dead cap issues for the trade. (Can't pay RBs big money in today's NFL. It's so easy to find comparable cheap production.)

I've never been pro-tank. Sports are about competing to win, and the draft is always a crap shoot with more 1st round QBs busting than hitting. Maybe the season just got interesting.

I live in Charlotte, here since team inception. Was Redskin fan but immediately drop them and became Panthers fan. We have never had a back to back winning season.

Darnold went 3-0 last season until defenses figured him out. Coaches didn’t trust PJ to pass ball beyond the line of scrimmage against 49ers. Teams will figure PJ out and notice his flaws.

The Panthers defense played good this season but has been let down by the offense and tired by end of game. The Bucs either were too over confidence or wasn’t able to prepare for backups since there aren’t film on this Panther unit.

This win is a fluke against a struggling Bucs team. With the 2 trades, it sent message to team everyone’s job is on the line. Even if we win the division with mediocre record. We will be stuck in mediocrity if we don’t address the QB situation.

Speaking of the Robbie and CMC trades. We basically just got back the picks we gave up for Darnold and Baker! Ugh
