Damn the NFC West is going to be filled with murderous games. The Niners and Hawks are bonafide great teams but damn at the STL haul in the first round and I haven't forgotten that the Cards beat the Hawks at home last season.

The NFC Championship game last is what every game inside the division is going to be like next year.

I just want the players to end the games healthy. SF and Seattle beat the shit out of each other last year.

top CB's remaining according to scouts inc:

but i'm not sure we draft another corner in the 2nd or 3rd. i think we could look at some linebackers or dline but we kind of have that set already. we could go for some o-line depth. i guess it's a good position to be in that we could start the season tomorrow without any additional draft picks needed but we still need to be smart because we won't have 11 picks every year. we need to have things ready for when we lose guys in the future

Yeah with Williams, Carradine, Dobbs, Dial, and Jerrod-Eddie behind Cowboy, Dorsey, and Ray-Mac I think our d-line is pretty stacked. Another edge rusher would be fantastic, though. Perhaps another interior line backer to have some insurance behind Willis and Bow, as well.

O-line depth should definitely be a priority. Luckily we've been inordinately healthy in that area the last couple of years, but you can't bank on that. I'd also go for another RB in the later rounds. Gore will be a corpse by the end of the year, we have no idea what to expect from Lattimore, and Hunter is a solid spell back but hasn't proven he can be a feature back.

We're the Niners so we can always use more WRs and secondary help. The Stevie trade was aces, though.

I think WR depth is going to be decent if Patton can turn things around and Brandon Lloyd can turn out to at least be average (which in his case would be fine for being the 5th WR on the roster after the Stevie trade). Secondary is where we need more depth right now in comparison.

Agreed, but I think we'll have to move up to get him. He's my choice, too.

Yup, worried about that, too.

Do you think the Lions are going to spend one of their supplementals in the 4th on a back-up for Stafford? They have to do something because Orlovsky isn't who I really want as a #2 ... or Moore, for that matter.

Totally forgot about Lloyd, haha. I suppose if he makes the team he can contribute, but the guy is a very poor man's Crabtree. Patton was coming on towards the end of the year, so that's promising.

If a DB that's high on our board is still sitting there, by all means take him. But after failing to pull the trigger on Dennard or Verrett yesterday, I'd like the the corner we draft to be able to contribute early. Not a guy who might be able to do something in a year or two.

maybe we can trade LMJ to the eagles for a 7th round pick today

With the way our FO is working, we will give you a 3rd round pick!

Take that 49ers!

And we are also going to release Trent Cole too! Why need him when we have Smith!

On a serious note been hilarious listening to Philly sports radio today online at work. So much anger and rage. And to think we would have been over joyed if we picked this same guy in the 3rd round.

I think Ward is that guy. But we definitely need more depth with DB's.

Totally ambivalent about last nights choice by the Lions.

I know Mayhew has picked up some decent starts in the past...well, namely last year, but my faith is still very low that a defensive back who will start for the Lions will get picked.

Just draft a good player late and you'll be able to delude yourself into thinking it was a good draft. That's what Patriots fans had to do when they overdrafted Tavon Wilson in the 2nd two years ago- we told ourselves we drafted a 7th round player in the 2nd in Wilson, but a 2nd round player in the 7th in Alfonzo Dennard, and suddenly the pick didn't look quite as bad.

I agree and I don't. Right now the only guy I trust as a starter is Tremaine Brock. Culliver-Cox-Wright are the depth, so we need to find someone who projects to be a starting corner opposite Brock. Someone like Dennard would have been perfect.

I don't hate the Ward pick, I just have no idea what position he's playing a year from now.

I refuse to listen to Philly radio. Nothing but hopelessness and despair. I personally don't give a shit where we took Smith, I just want him to perform. He has all the intangibles so I'm staying optimistic.

If Su'a-Filo is still available at #38 for the Bucs, that's where I think they'll go. We have a big hole at right guard and our left guard is injury prone as all hell.

Why don't you give a shit where we take him?

Taking him now when he will be there at 54 makes us lose out on another player.

If we stayed put at 22 we could have drafted CB Dennard. He would be a day 1 starter for us over Fletcher or Williams.

And we could have still take Smith at 54. It makes a big difference.

Smith said he was surprised to go in the first. He was told by most all teams late 2nd or early 3rd. Chip admitted they tried to trade down again and couldn't. Yeah that inspires a lot of confidence in the guy they took!

Also read how most of his sack production came when he was against no one or rushing against RBs who were in pass protection. He isn't projected to started day 1 and will be used as a 3rd down pass rusher. Usually you wish for more than that.

Marqis Lee is the wrong choice. Drop machine. idk who to go with. Fuck. Offense went from top 10 potential to now scrambling to be decent

Wasn't Josh kicked off the Baylor team for weed? If you're gonna do it at least be able to fool the test. This kind of thing is why the Browns will always be garbage... RIP Johnny Football.

Wonder if Atlanta will take Su'a-Filo the pick ahead of the Bucs, assuming the other teams ahead of him don't take him. Their o-line is still shit. I'll be pissed if they do.

They could also roll the dice with Derek Carr. Timmy Jernigan and Scott Crichton may also be in play.

I would expect we take an edge rusher here. We wanted to move up for Ford last night at the end.

Slight correction: The Browns' front office knew about Gordon. According to Mortensen, the coaches found out 90 minutes ago. Lovely.

wut? Why didn't the coaches know? Did Farmer know?

1 bad season doesn't make him a bad player. A lot was going on at USC.

For a guy who was supposed to be a top WR, getting him in the 2nd is a steal.

This makes it even tougher for the Eagles to just sit idle and wait for someone like Lee to drop to them.
