Time to cut Hargrove, Ted. He is unnecessary now, anyway.
Vilma apparently acted as the federal government and provided matching funds for all bounties! :jnc, what a fucking idiot.
If you can't afford $300 you shouldn't be spending $459 over two years. I mean, more power to Microsoft for squeezing money from the stupid poor but if you buy this you are an idiot.
Jon Vilma: AgeistNFL Sirius reporting Vilma got the hammer because of 2 specific cash bounties of $10k each to knock Warner and Favre out of the game in the '09 playoffs.
What about these punishments are backhanded?
I don't see how Fujita can still be on the executive council, should tender his resignation asap.

NFL announces Vilma suspended for the season; Hargrove 8 games, Will Smith 4 games and Fujita 3 games
That doesn't affect the validity of these punishments.Nothing about the punishments as they stand on their own. I just don't believe that their efforts to increase saftey are as they're made out to be. The rules cater to offenses, they want to decrease injuries but what to increase the amount of games played.
I just have a hard time with the NFL riding it's high horse. They do so many crooked and backhanded things that I can't take them seriously.
What a jackass.Vilma always seemed like a nice enought dude in interviews.
Also, he's using a SI cover story about the NO "Bounty Culture" as his Twitter profile picture right now. WTH :jnc

Players have 3 days to appeal, with the Commissioner in charge of the appeal process
Anthony Hargrove was given an eight-game suspension after the NFL said that he, too, targeted Favre in the NFC Championship Game. The NFL says that Hargrove eventually admitted his role in the team’s bounty program, but that at first “Hargrove also actively obstructed the league’s 2010 investigation into the program by being untruthful to investigators.”
Hopefully they appeal and Roger ADDS games.Bowser said:
It's what he gets for pushing down Jerome Simpson, the jerk.Fujita nooo!

Brees is the union mouthpiece and spoke out vehemently in defense of the players on his team who purposefully tried to injure other members of the union. The same union that screamed bloody murder that adding games was a safety risk and that the NFL doesn't do enough to protect safety.
The NFLPA is a fucking joke. Fujita is perfect for a board role.
It's what he gets for pushing down Jerome Simpson, the jerk.
Brees is covering his team's ass, hoping to spin the story for the fools that don't actually read the facts.Brees has the benefit of at least being a naive, hopeful idiot. Which is ten times better than what Fujita did.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you think Brees didn't know about this? Oh man, I have a levee to sell you.

All 4 player suspensions will be appealed, per source who said, "Get ready for a massive multiple legal battle over this on several fronts."

RT @AdamSchefter: Class story of day: Buccaneers announced today that they signed former Rutgers DT Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed in 2010.
Awesome
I am really interested to hear what defense the players could make if this goes to court.
It won't go to court. Schefter is full of shit. Remember when the Cowboys and Redskins were going to blow up the NFL over the salary cap penalties according to Schefter?
"sources!"
Really great move by Schiano and Tampa.
Wait why is Hargrove suspended?
I'm sad now. We needed that DE power.
But if he's a dirty cheater, good riddance.
8 games though? Ted should shoulder that. He shouldered Neal and he was pointless.
Gannon saying this is as bad as the SMU death penalty.
Give me a fucking break.
Gannon's certainly old enough to remember the results of the SMU death penalty.Gannon saying this is as bad as the SMU death penalty.

Fat jokes and all, Jeffery was the most likeable pick for me in the Bears draft. Excited to see him and Brandon Marshall out wide.
lol that is so true. There was a ton of talk aout those tams fighting it and nothing happened at all.
Unfortunate. He's been suspended before, He's already a dirty cheater.
