Michael bush and Matt Forte is a great one two punch for the bears.

The bears easily is having the best off season so far, broncos is second.

This really is a great signing for the Bears. It doesn't seem like they want to give Forte a long term deal. If he hold out he knows we have a very competent backup. Bush can receive well and will obviously be our goal line back instead of Barber. However, we now have no cap space left unless we extend Urlacher, Cutler, Tillman.

Edit: Forte upset

Tollefson would not play defensive end, he'd be an olb in a 3-4 (although he did line up as a tackle alot last year). He actually did play a ton for the Giants last year due to the injuries, so I could see him thinking he deserves more cash.

I am not as high on Tollefson as other Giants fans. He's a good st player, with a really good motor but he has his limitations.

Yeah. In the Capers defense I just consider the OLB's to be part of the DL since weak side is generally coming and he moves players around. Tollefson seems to have a pretty good body type for a Capers defense.

Didn't the Packers draft him?

I absolutely hate the Michael Bush/Bears signing. As a Detroit fan, that worries me.

Round Two.

Bucs are next.

St. Louis (2-14) - squicken - WR - Stephen Hill - In their quest to do nothing to help the offense in 2012, and able to get clear of Sam Bradford's giant rookie contract after the season, the Rams proceed with their own QB exit strategy. No player selected in the first two rounds will be less prepared to play his position in 2012 than Hill, but his potential is enormous. With a good coaching staff, he has the explosiveness, size and speed to be an elite WR in a couple of years. Much like the selection of Robert Quinn in Round #1 of 2011, Hill is a very raw player with a very high ceiling. Also like Quinn, he has a very low floor, and could flame out very quickly if he is unable to correct his issues with route running and drops, or transition from a college option offense to the rather elaborate digit system run by offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Also like Quinn, maturity issues are a concern. All that said, I'd be super excited if he was available here.

Indianapolis (2-14) - LukeSmith, Narag (skipped) LJ11 - CB - Stephon Gilmore - It'll be a small miracle if he gets here, I know they need offensive weapons and some linemen, but he's by far the best player. Shutdown Sam Watkins, can run, and one of the best corners. In reality he'll never be here.

Minnesota (3-13) - Slo - LB - Zach Brown - Athletic backer that can cover and rush - a real fit for our system. Either Henderson that resigns could move to MLB (I doubt we keep both), and we're set for ten years on the weakside.

Tampa Bay (4-12) - I H8 Memes -

Cleveland (4-12) - Wes, hiryu -

Jacksonville (5-11) - Tamanon -

I know I'm late, but I'm just getting the chance to post on GAF after the crazy news yesterday.

Holy shit, Saints going fucking owned and Tebow going to the Jets was a crazy ass move. Fun times in the NFL.

They did, yes. Tollefson is a high character guy, good motor as mentioned who's been relegated to spot duty because of the depth we have on the line. When the injuries happened, he ended up with a 5 sack season and plenty of play time. He isn't going to wow you, but for what Thomspon will likely pay him, I think he'll end up being a good pick up for you.

Current going rate for running backs is a 4th and a 6th.

lol

I hope the bears doesn't go DE in the first round, i want them to just grab Michael Floyd instead. He won't be there in the second for us and that would be a dagger offense for the bears this season.

You do know that hanie sucks right?
What are you talking about? The guy is a future Super Bowl champion!

That's the face of a champion right there!

I would be ok with the Bears parting ways with Forte for two 2nds. Not sure if that's realistic with RB values in today's NFL.

Darrelle Revis ‏ @Revis24
Also wanna say I'm lookin forward to having @timtebow as a teammate.

That's all I need to feel better.

Listening to Wall St. Journal This Morning.

Gordon Deal: "Tim Tebow is a Jet today and fans of the team, including myself, cannot figure out why"

:jnc!!

There's only so many times a man that has done everything he's been asked to do can be disrespected! Guess the GOOD GUYS do finish last....

Man what a crybaby. I guess the Bears aren't allowed to sign anybody until he gets his new deal.

Dude has done everything right and he didn't pull a C2YARD last year.

If the Jets had the cap room they should have went after him.

Hmmm

What is he asking for, contract wise? It's tough to trade a guy who has no contract.
i am just saying, i want him to get paid. I think he is easily a premier back in this league, but i just think he is not aware of what this new gm is trying to do here in chicago. He thinks that M.Bush is gonna hurt his contract but he's not, he's the second back. Barber is clearly gone. Emery is doing a magnificent job at shoring up our holes on this team.

Forte is losing fans and loyalty with pulling this shit. He act like he can't wait after the draft to get paid or something.

Donkeys.

Did you forget that Hanie sucked in college?

You've seen him suck in your own house.

GAH. More Buffaloes. Less Rams.

Or both Buffaloes and Rams suck when they get to Chicago.

What's done is done. I'd rather them draft a QB than pick up Hanie. Apparently we're also looking at "Magnificent" Billy Volek as well.

I know, I know, but Hanie isn't very good. He had one good game - one - and all these pundits bring it up when they mention his potential. He did nothing for Chicago last season when Cutler went out.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know dick about Volek. He's old, that's all I know of him.

Yeah Green Bay isn't paying more than a million per season, a new Harley, and a bucket of chicken for a running back.

Maybe even throw in some Brewers season tickets and all you can drink Miller Lite.

I agree with you. Hanie is terrible and we're better off drafting a young QB to learn behind Peyton. I'm not sure what Elway is thinking about looking at Hanie as a potential backup QB for the team. I've got a bad feeling about this.

As for Volek, I know jack shit about him too. I'm going to guess he's another Hanie.

I'm surprised Saturday hasn't signed with us yet. Figured he'd be right behind Peyton after the deal was done.

Which game was that?

He threw a nice long pass to Knox that one time, put that on the resume!

As for Forte I'm guessing it will blow over just like it does with Briggs
