DVDs are essentially worthless if you want to sell them. I don't know about blurays, I'm assuming you'd get more out of them? Games obviously. As far as buying a dvd or bluray, I rarely watch a movie twice. So I would end up paying the 10/20/30 dollars and shelving it. Where as if I rent it I pay my $4 watch, and go on my way. Plus I don't have to worry about storing them, etc. Each to their own though, my friend swears by physical copies and will never go digital (assuming there is always a physical copy).

Someone needs to perfect this service but it might be impossible unless someone does what Apple did for music.

We had a guy back in the 90s that did that too. However, he also had video games and his collection kicked ass because he would get some of the rarer stuff, like I remember he would get all kinds of crazy Sega CD shit in. And he was the first to have 3DO and Jaguar stuff. Don't know where he used get his games from. Same with PS1, he had just about every original long box game.

Was just talking to my friend about this last night. Shit, I remember buying games based on my allowance. Accidentally bought a superscope game once but didn't own a superscope :C
That's when you have to have a movie night and sneak the porn DVD in instead of whatever movie you were going to watch.
I remember when I was probably 7 to 11 or so my parents would give me so much from their tax return and i'd go to gamestop and buy all the cheapest games from eb just to get the max amount of games.

I used to rent 16bit games on weekends for like 2 bucks a night and would spend all day beating them. Games were to expensive back then and I had no monies.
Rental place also had a porn section with cowboy saloon type swinging doors. I was sure I was going to go jail when I rented a movie from there when I was like 15. The owner was this big fat prevented looking dude (think average GAFer) and I had a hunch he would hook me up. Dude did and I spent the night watching some righteous lesbian action. It's ok. Their fries really suck in my experience though they do give a shit load.

From my experience their fries vary in quality due to having different batches of potatoes. I know at my local one, the potatoes are always from different places. I'm not sure if that is true for all of them.
