come in my shame circle
I've been without internet most of the day.

Browns do anything to embarrass me other then being the Browns?

Doesn't seem like it, so I call this a good day.

Yeah not as enthused with Maxwell since we still have such a glaring hole at safety.

Rahim Moore is gonna be their next target at safety. Maybe Antrel Rolle. Davon House as another CB. It's not like McCourty was the only upgrade at safety in all of free agency. Keep in mind they picked up Jerome Couplin late last year who actually made it to the Lions roster but they couldn't keep him on the 53 man roster in Detroit due to injuries. I'd like to see what he's got, though not as a starter.

Ex-Lion Lawrence Jackson is going in HARD on Detroit Lions and their players on Twitter right now: Spitting fire.

Never forget..

Asked this week if he'd be willing to work with a passing coach this offseason, the Detroit Lions quarterback shot the idea to the floor.

"Probably not," Stafford said, per Justin Rogers of MLive.com. "It's not something that I feel would be my style or beneficial to me."

Damn, now Willis and Smith gone? This has got to be one of the worst offseasons in recent memory.

I mean, Smith wasn't that great last year and Willis has been hurt I think 3 years in a row now, but their leadership will be missed. I'm pretty excited of the prospect of Borland and Bowman though, hopefully Bowman can return to his pre-injury form.

Losing Harbaugh is still the biggest blow we've been dealt so far. Every time I get excited about football I think of rat faced York and 80's pornstar Tomsula. We're going to be terrible for a long time, aren't we?

With Willis and Smith's caps off the books, now I don't care if we give Torrey $10m a year, we easily have it. Baalke sucks at drafting WR's, so to take a DT at 15 instead who can start with Tank and Dockett and Dial and Dorsey will be yummy.

Niners D is actually going to be better this year than last, and so will the O now that QB/offensive guru Harbaugh is gone (still eating ez crow on that).

I mean, he's probably not wrong. Stafford has always been far too eager to throw out that he does not need to work with an off-season coach or anything despite his uneven performances in record breaking years and utter averageness during less uneven years. But who has LoJack been around? Hasslebald? Sanchize?

Of course, that might be the ultimate indictment of Stafford.

Rahim Moore would be nice.

No to Rolle. Too old.

Might as well keep pick 20 and take the best corner or safety available.

Rahim Moore will be cheaper than McCourty too. I agree on Rolle. Point is that there are other good FAs out there, and since the Eagles were at the top for McCourty it stands to reason they'd be at the top for other free agent safeties.

Rolle will be fine for a 1/2 year deal, the big name that you're missing is Parker from KS (who has 10 teams after him according to LaCanfora).

Again, I like McPhee, he's not a game changer, but he's a versatile player. Can play him outside a bit, roll him inside as a 3 tech. He was affordable too, for the money, excellent signing imo.

From his comments it seems like he is going to be spending most of his time on the edge. If that's true, it seems like a bit of a misuse of his talents.

Either way it seems like a slight overspend but when you're moving to a 3-4 it's probably not a bad thing.

So what's this I hear about the Niners trading Kaepernick? Do they not realize Gabbert is Gabbert, and they're already destroying their franchise?

Oh. One of my buddies played with Lawrence Jackson at USC. Going to have to ask him about his opinions next I see him.

From Barnwell's weekend recap article:

You don’t let them leave at 28, like the Lions are doing here with Suh. They’re stuck, as I’ve mentioned before, because of the way the old CBA accelerated the contracts of top-five draft picks. Detroit, bad seemingly for centuries, ended up with three meaningful assets on hefty rookie contracts: Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford, and Suh, whose deal peaked with a cap hit of $22.4 million last season. Even that came after a restructuring, as the Lions will owe $9.7 million in dead money for Suh on their cap in 2015. Suh will have the largest cap hit of any defensive tackle in football this year in Miami, and his ghost in Detroit will be fourth. That’s how big Suh’s rookie deal was.

We can always re-sign Nate Allen ;)

He's not a free agent though.

I mean if he retires, he's done. If its an issue where the 49ers would cut him for financial reasons, he could always go somewhere else.

Maybe he's content with the 8 years he played.

I think McCourty was a tier above the other safeties available. Given the available safeties this year, I would have been okay if we overpaid for him.

I saw a lot of Niners fans clamoring for Gabbert as starter last season during the slide. We can only hope their front office is as stupid.

The man ain't wrong. Stafford has severe mechanical problems in his style, leading to a lot of bad throws and even worse decisions. It takes a special team to go far when your QB is average at best (See: Trent Dilfer), and the Lions are not that team.

Matrix

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
Fuck our QB situation. If Mallet can't beat out Hoyer... we have another fucking problem. Also nice to fuck over Case again. Savage is hot trash and shouldn't be the 3rd string. Glad I don't have to see Fitzasstric anymore.

Also they better find someone to throw to besides Hopkins, Dre might be on the downside, but god damn if he's still not better than most still.

Gonna miss him even if he was all over the place with his emotions and game last year.

You're one of those people?

I don't understand everyone saying Suh only cares about money. Which legitimate "contender" would have offered him anything close to what he is getting from Miami? I'm not even talking about a match, I'm saying anything even remotely close. Who would have done it?

Of course money was a factor but it's not like he went to the Raiders or Jags.

Yep. I watched the Dolphins push out my 3 favorite players of all time. Forced Marino out when he still wanted to play. Pushed Taylor and Thomas out because they were "too old" (which they were but they were better than anyone who replaced them).

Do I hate myself because I'm a Dolphins fan

or am I a Dolphins fan because I hate myself

The Dolphins fan credo pic posted a few pages back is 100% accurate. I'm thinking of printing it as a banner and hanging it on my wall.
Welcome, brother. Let us shed a suh-nami of tears together as a symbol of our shared curse.

Apparently Baalke and Kaepernick had a phone call sunday night where they "laughed" at the trade talks. Sorry eagles fans, your sanchize future is upon you

Lulz why would I be mad, the Niners are exploding like a supernova!! Yall have made me such a happy fella :')
It's too bad that other Seattle fan wouldn't make that Hawks-Niners 2015 record bet with me, that would've fun to watch when we win the division later this year.
