Can't say I blame him. The city had two different genuinely great QBs, chased them both out of town, and a genuinely good coach who they also chased out of town, and they thought they finally had their savior coach, but now he's disposed of every player they like, half the roster's still empty, and they may not be able to pull playoffs out of their ass for the second straight year.
Imagine thinking you finally have what you need, and then he takes so much risks in 5 seconds that there's no middle ground possible: either it'll all succeed and he'll be the greatest hero in the history of your city's sports, or something in the pile will backfire, he'll be hated and chased out of town like the rest, and you'll be right back where you started before you got him (albeit at least slightly worse off).
