I cant fathom being restricted like that. Used to going and getting food whenever I get hungry at work.

Giants are signing DE George Selvie, per source.

Figured it would happen. Once Reese gets them in the building, they generally sign.

Giants giving former Cowboys DE George Selvie 1-year, $1.4 million deal that includes $200K signing bonus. Reunited with USF teammate JPP.

Hey Future, what are your thoughts on J.D. Walton? The Dolphins signed him for depth. I'm assuming he sucked because I seem to remember the Giants o-line being a dumpster fire last season.

It was a complete dumpster fire in 2013. Last season, the line was actually pretty solid pass blocking. Not great, but serviceable. Run blocking was a whole other affair. Walton is just a guy. He ranged from average to completely sub-par more often than not. We got absolutely no push in the middle with Walton at center. Lots of 1 or 2 yards run at best when trying to run between the tackles. Pass blocking was better but nothing to get excited about. There's a reason we drafted Weston Richburg in the second round last year and he'll be our starting center in 2015.

I don't know how much of a power run scheme the Dolphins run or if you're backs do a great deal of running up the middle but if he has to play - you're run game is likely to suffer.

Cool, appreciate the thoughts!

I never even thought about that, wow that's really depressing.

Not sure how I feel about Crabtree either. As long as we still take a WR in the first couple of round, I will be okay with signing him.
It really is depressing...

I don't think bringing in Crabtree should change the draft strategy (hopefully). Right now the WR corps is extremely young so it makes sense to bring in a veteran.

Watch, the Giants/Lions game from last year, Walton vs Suh!

Walton got his shit packed in

Good cheap signing. Zero risk. Probably the best wide out still on the market unless you think Jennings has anything left.

Seems like they are overpaying him for no reason. He hasn't even been in rumors as being sought after by other teams. A 4th and 5th WR making 3-4 makes no sense. I don't think that is accurate.

I'm giving the Dolphins the benefit of the doubt and assuming that it's $3-4 if he meets all his incentives.

Plus, they have the cap room so it's not like it has any meaning even if they gave him $4m.

To be fair though, Suh is the best defensive player of all time.

Bingo. Clay is out the door so they've got some money to burn, a few 1 year deals to vets isn't going to hurt anything. We are at the point in FA where the good players are accounted for anyway.

Walton got his shit pushed in a lot. He was the worst OL by far.

Selvie signing is something. It's another vet, but if someone like Beasley or Ray is there he shouldn't be stopping them from selecting one of them.

Dang your receiving core is killer if Carbcakes is your 5th best WR...

Who's above him though? Crabtree is an outside WR so you can't really include Landry. That leaves what... Stills and Matthews? I hate to say it but right now Crabtree is looking like the #1 or #2 outside guy.

Oh I figured we'd draft or pick up some UDFA Crabtree sucks and it would be terrible if he's our number one WR

In Miami's more vertical offense Crabtree will be pretty good. He had more catches than Mike Wallace last year!

The idea he sucks is totally baffling to me though. 68 catches and 700 yards with Krap as your QB in a run first offense is nothing to sneeze at.

Dolphins drafted Landry in the second last year right? You seriously want them to take a first day wide out? you guys deserve your team.

You'll be back. Nobody can quit this!

I'm sure I will be but I don't think I will be able to watch sports of any form for a few months :(

He's right.

Not even when Jordan won 6 times in a row.

This is the worst drug of all. :(

Imagine Magic retiring, only after spending a career playing with a team of Gatas instead of Kareem and Worthy and receiving nothing but abuse from his hometown media for dragging that shitshow to mediocrity each year.

I just need to spend a few weeks watching the most disgusting porn I can find in order to format my brain and start from scratch.

Fine maybe sucks was the wrong word, but he's not a number 1 receiver and isn't a redzone guy, which is what we are lacking. Even with Wallace we still needed that big redzone target. I would rather select a LB/CB with that first pick or even move back and pick up another draft pick and a G farther down but apparently Tannenbaum likes to be aggressive in the draft/trades so I wouldn't put it past them to get a WR at 14 or even move up to get one.

We did last season, yes. He ended up starting a game or two for us and was then cut shortly after for obvious reasons (he stinks).

Yeah we found that out pretty quickly. He was drafted to be a decent lineman alongside players like Nicks and Evans and he was a complete bust.
