22 million now in cap space and potentially more if we get a trade, Don't laugh, look here and Twitter to see how in demand he will be. Why risk convincing him to come when you can easily trade for him? no one thought we would get anything for Schaub either so there is hope.

looked this up after you posted. damn I've never seen an instagram post blow up in real time before.

Texans and McNair know you don't just release a Houston icon like Dre without something to balance it the emotional hit. they are freeing up the money for something....

Cortland Finnegan released on the same day that Andre Johnson's news was reported. Be careful, Cort. It's real in these streets!

Fitting

lol at people crying about Arrowhead's new locker rooms. They should see some of the other shit the ludicrously rich people of the area have donated. One guy decided to build them an ice rink and it's gorgeous. Fucking campus is larger than the rest of the Classic 8 schools put together.

If JJ Watt weren't such a bitch maybe he'd build Pewaukee a decent facility instead of a faux-cabin. Of course, I don't blame him for claiming Waukesha as his home. Give some cash to CMH!

Mech I'm sorry to hear about your team getting rid of Dre. If it makes you feel any better, niners are not going to bring back Gore.

Im good. It really did hit me harder than I expected when it actually happened. Been saying it since last season we can not pay him his contract dollars at his age and production. DeAndre Hopkins was more productive and if you watch the games was doubled more than Dre was. Kubiak regime would never had made this kind of bold move. You want to play with the big boys these are the types of decisions you have to make.

Mech don't do this!!

I want him to win a ring and those are his best chances. PERIOD.

I'm not quite ready to have a season without Gore

Fuck this football talk.

Football was canceled last year. No football talk until the preseason.

In keeping with this theme, any suggestions for a good 40-50" tv? There won't be a lot of light in the room. I plan on putting it on a mount that can rotate 90% so I can watch from my desk or my couch. Any decent plasmas left these days? I am not going to splurge on an OLED just yet.

Why would anyone trade for Dre and take on his contract when they are going to release him..does not compute.

A team desperate to secure him would

Exactly. Since he has permission to seek a trade he can also redo his contract with the team trading for him.

I started to feel bad for Mech until I saw that Pats comment. If Dre goes to NE he can eat shit.

It aint about the fan shit we discuss here. I want him to get a ring and those are the two best candidates. I would also add in Green Bay but they do not operate like that. Broncos? Maybe.

He's not that good anymore. He's more a complimentary piece to a team that already has a burner like the Colts to replace Wayne. His targets were stupid high so he put up numbers by default.

I'd take him in Miami, since he can look for trade he can choose a team and restructure would have to be part of that

Incredibly Naive
Nba tradeline usually sucks. This year was the exception

It always disappoints, but the hype is crazy lol. Always convince myself something big is going down. It happened prior to the deadline for the celts this year, but all the Rondo, Jeff Green stuff turned out happening for once, which was great.

Tomsula approves of the first major signing.

Former Australian rugby league star Jarryd Hayne has officially reached a deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

“I’m going to be a San Francisco 49er,” Hayne said before donning a 49ers baseball cap.

Hayne said he got $100,000 guaranteed from the 49ers, an impressive figure considering he’s never played American football before.

49ers coach Jim Tomsula has a background in NFL Europe developing Europeans into NFL players, which Hayne said was instrumental in making his decision. Hayne also thanked Jack Bechta, his agent, of JB Sports for helping him through the process of coming to the NFL.

Hayne has worked with Tim Dwight, Sav Rocca and other former NFL players to prepare for his conversion to a new sport.

Hayne chose the 49ers after also visiting the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks. He’s projected as a return specialist and running back.

“When I took over the management of Jarryd Hayne, there was about 16 teams who wanted to bring him in for a private workout,” Bechta said. “Because of the level of interest, I thought it was best to have a pro day workout in which 14 teams attended. Of the 14 teams about 10 requested a personal visit to their club to meet with their coaches.

“Jarryd visited the 49ers, the Seahawks and the Lions, three clubs that i have confidence in having the energy, experience, plan and patience for developing him. and on top of that opportunity to contribute right away on special teams. Jarryd feels comfortable and natural as a return specialist and will try to make it as a running back. He knows he has to earn his way onto a roster via special teams and start at the bottom of an 80-man roster. I took him on because I am confident he will make it.”

Hayne was named the best player in the National Rugby League last season before retiring from the sport to pursue a football career.

The New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets also displayed interest in Hayne.

Hayne recently ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds. His time would rank him sixth among running backs from the NFL scouting combine, including Michigan State’s Jeremy Langford (4.42), Florida State’s Karlos Williams (4.48), Texas A&M’s Trey Williams (4.49), Northern Iowa’s David Johnson (4.50) and Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon (4.52).

Other teams that attended his Pro Day at the University of San Diego or requested video included the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins.

The 6-foot-2, 226 pounder had a 1.59 10-yard split and 4.29 20-yard shuttle. The running back drills were run by retired NFL running backs and offensive coordinator Clarence Shelmon.

If this guy is a starting linebacker and can also kick field goals I might have to buy a Niners hat.

I will promptly throw it in the garbage as soon as I get home but I would still buy it as a sign of respect.
