NFL Offseason Thread |OT3| The Long Wait

Any other Packer fans here feeling a little nervous about the approaching season? I have seen us lose a lot of players and I am hoping that it isn't going to end up hurting us. Wouldn't surprise me too much if we got close to losing the division this year to the Vikings. I hope I am wrong however. For now I am just ready to see the season start up and to go to the Raven/Packer game in October.

Who exactly are you worried about us losing?

Packers fans: When Mike Sherman was making personnel moves, how did he do? Someone brought up on Twitter how stacked the A&M teams he recruited were with NFL offensive talent, and very few were the 5 star variety. Seemed to have the eye for talent

I was wondering how long it would be until someone posted this in the used games thread. The videogame Holocaust is upon us.

Note: I don't mean to equate video games to racism and ethnic cleansing with this quote, it just fits too damn well:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

I haven't bought a single used game this generation and I want to see them collapse for this bullshit.

Jennings, Driver, Crabtree on offense. I know we have a lot of weapons on offense but still hate to see some of them leave.

Woodson on defense if nothing due to an already somewhat ify defense. I don't like losing good players when we still seem to struggle to get it the d right on a week to week basis.

I know we have a lot of other good talent and I am probably just being nervous for no reason but I just think this might be a tough year to watch.

Were you even alive the last time the Patriots won a Super Bowl?

Any year can become tough.
Driver and Crabtree didn't play all that much to even concern you. Jennings also missed a good portion of the season, so we know what we have without him.

Woodson as well, he basically wasn't there last season. Not much has changed.

What's the over/under on total games missed by Packer starters in 2013/14. 40? 50?

unlike you, I saw all of my teams superbowls

Pats fans dont have to rely on ancient history and count made up nfc farmer bowls to stay relevant
Ancient History > Outright Fantasy

Pats SBs count to us as much as Harry Potters' Quidditch titles. And to be accurate, both of those count more than Pat fans...

Why didn't you subscribe before? It lets you avoid seeing all the heathens outside this thread, like NHL GAF, NBA GAF, and the Pats-Fan thread (aka Pony-GAF).

But I'm a loyal card carrying member of NHL GAF...

I want to be a part of NBA GAF but Nori Chan won't let me.

I auto sub to all threads I post in. That way I don't forget if I needed a reply or something. And if it was just a one and done, simply delete. It's easy to use the internets!

Oh no, it's already begun. This Community move will be the end of NFL-Age. Next thing we know we'll be overrun by hockey discussion, console wars, and Pats fans.

Also Nori Chan is a Chargers fan, the only thing he can monopolize is the #1 pick.

The funny thing is the Nexus 7 thread is a community. I posted there like 10 times in 6 months; there is no kind of insular thing going on there like this group of pond scum football fanatics, and the psuedo-football-fair-weather-Patriot-fans that are so abominable they support Nazis with no soul like Belicheat.

I'm feeling nervous in the sense that Capers has put together as many bad defenses as good ones in his time in GB, and we haven't shown any ability to draft and develop on that side of the ball -- specifically in the front 7.

10-6 or 11-5, embarrassing first round playoff exit where the defense gives up 40+. So not really nervous, just resigned. Still better than sucking outright.
