Ravens are playing the Lions, but I don't get the game :( Only local Baltimore people do....Watch it for me, Darien :D

wtf the seachickens are a joke dude. lets go down some of their "great" players:

matt "i was balding at the age of 7!" hasselbeck is a fluke. he can't win the big games

shaun "i have four 200 yard games and 12 mediocre games a year, but my stats look good when mixed together!" alexander is a bum

darrell "i had 10 billion drops last year! vote me to the probowl!" jackson can't play with the big boys

that and your defense is already decimated with injures. i'm sorry blackmage, but i must dismiss the seachickens from this conversation and thread. i didn't want to do it, but i had to... sorry again

Hey man! When my seahawks are in first in the division and your untalented 49ers and souljas weaksauce rams are below the cardinals, then ill have the last laugh!

you are confusing untalented with unexperienced! the niners are unexperienced, but have a lot of talent. you'll see. teams are going to sleep on us, and they're going to pay for it. at least soulja admits that barlow is the best runningback he has ever seen. you could at least admit that Rat has the best set of sideburns this side of the mississippi

Chester and Musa both ran well tonight... I think Lamont Brightful lost his starting job as returner too... Boller actually looked probably the best I've seen him so far... I have hope again. ;)

Im convinced Andy Reid is a voodoo doctor. Every big name veteran the eagles let go is never the same. Hugh Douglas, Bobby Taylor (isnt even a starter for some reason), Brian Mitchel, Emmons (still isnt healed from the injury he suffered last year), Trotter... the list goes on. Now Troy vincent, after somehow breaking his backup QB's leg in practice, finds a way to break his own jaw.

Dammit, Mike Anderson was in the game far too late and he got hurt, out for "extended time". My super sleeper fantasy RB of the year is broken!

Wow, good Panthers/Pats game. Panthers D looked good also. Are we starting to see cracks in the Patriots' armor? 2 Preseason losses.....I know it's just the Preseason but still, they're not as unstoppable anymore it seems.

Barring any season-ending injury on Smitty, and being I didn't see either the first Panther TD or Morgan's INT live, that was a fucking awesome pre-season game. Talk about a game with regular season intensity.

Jake's scramble and his immediate fire when he got touched on the slide was awesome. Foster needs to have the ball surgically sewn onto his hands! Moose had some nice freaking catches, that one out of bounds in the end zone was a particularly nice grab and effort. So far this preseason Moose has avoided the crucial drop that has haunted him his whole career (although he did quit on a route again last week ala the ATL OT game last year).

The O-Line did a decent job tonight, I too would like to see them finish the blocks better, but they were decent. I thought Gamble made some solid plays, I especially remember one nice tackle on their TE I believe, but he also had some rookie moments. I think Gamble has a chance to be a star with his physical gifts.

As far as Moose catching some balls, how about some love for Mangum. The man with hands of stone had another nice grab early tonight. Colbert also had a nice route as Peete hit him in stride.

All in all, it was an exciting and fun game to watch. We got it taken to us, and we kept fighting. That's pretty good news in my book, and barring any long-term injury to Smitty, I like where our team is right now.

Bring on GB I say!

Proehl is the ageless wonder. His td catch, which I didn't see live, was awesome. He had five grabs for like 80 yards. I'll forever love that cat for the JAX game where he caught the 12 yarder on fourth down to win the game which I was lucky enough to attend. This was also the famed game where we were down by 17 at half only to come back which I believe launched the Super Bowl Run.

Proehl is the man, not to mention he played college at nearby Wake Forest. I hope he never retires, although it looks like this might be his last go-around.

Simms says "Suck it down. Seau!"

11/13 for 145 yards

#2 QB for QB #2 :)

It's ok Konex, I'm sure Griese will do well being the #3 QB.

I'm shocked that Chad Johnson is there. Every other player is on a big market team (that's why Ray Lewis isn't on that list), but he seems to defy logic with his placement on that list :)

p.s. the eagles WISH they had lloyd as their 2nd receiver. he would pull in all the passes that stinkston never will

Someone should tell the EA guys, b/c Pinky has gotta be one of the secret weapons in that game. He's got the hands of god. PEACE.

What about Shawn Barber and Duce Staley? For the most part I agree with Reid's moves even though most are made over money not because a player can't play. The 2 moves I think will bite him this year is Bobby Taylor and Duce Staley. I always thought Emmons was overrated and Vincent was done 2 years ago and Douglas wasn't a balanced player but Duce is one of the most underrated RB ever. I know his Rushing yards were low in todays NFL standards but his value came as a receiver and blocker plus he rarely fumbled. Duce has some of the best hands for RB I have ever seen and he is great in the open field which is pretty amazing when he doesn't have much speed. As far as Taylor goes, he is IMO one of the best CBs in the league. What makes him so good is his size, he can play a little off the WR but still make the play because of his size and with the NFL cracking down on the after 5 yards no contact rule, Taylor's value is even bigger. So far Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard haven't impressed me at all but I will give a full year before I start calling for their jobs. Well I hope I am wrong about those 2 moves killing the Eagles but those are 2 big concerns with this football team. One more thing, Reid better find away to make Trotter a starter, if he has to move Mark Simoneau to Weakside LB and bench Nate Wayne so be it.

We'll get to see if Vincent is truly done this season, playing on a very solid Buffalo defense. If he gets beat often, he'll be moved to free safety, where he could become an excellent player.I think he'll survive this season at CB playing acorss from Nate Clements, but putting him at FS next season might be the move to make, especially considering Buffalo has 2 up and coming CB's in Terrence McGee and Kevin Thomas.

Barber went on to have a good year on one of the worst defenses in the nfl. Time will tell how Duce works out. He would not have been happy here considering we are not a team that will pound the ball. Reid is obsessed with passing, I dont like it but thats the way it is. Westbrook is a far better reciever out of the backfield. As far as im concerned when it comes to resigning veterans Reid and company have a flawless record.

Btw, i guess you missed it the first time but for some reason Bobby Taylor is not a starter in seattle. He was playing with the 2nd string unit in preseason and is listed as number 2 on the depth chart. He did lose a step last year, Vincent looked far better than him in the few games they both played. I think Lito and Sheldon will be fine.

"One more thing, Reid better find away to make Trotter a starter, if he has to move Mark Simoneau to Weakside LB and bench Nate Wayne so be it."

I have been saying this since we signed him. Have you ever seen Simoneau make a tackle behind the line of scrimmage beacause I havent. In fact he very rarely makes a play period. Sure he is always in good position but that doest help much when you go to make a tackle and become the human speedbump.

Quick question, but didn't Boldin play some QB at FSU? I thought I read a couple years ago that he was #2 on the QB depth chart b/c FSU had a lot of injuries and he'd played it in high school. I heard he's pretty good. Could see him on a lot of WR options. Green used to love those in Minny. PEACE.

Maybe next season. Boldins done for the year.

It probably has something to do with the new Bengals jerseys, which I have to admit are pretty sharp.

Boldin did play some QB at FSU.

The Eagles always been proven in the long run to be right, for the past 3-4 years when it comes to releasing aging players past their prime. In Duce's case, he hasn't been a 1000 yd back in about 3 seasons and going with Westbrook is the right thing to do, considering Duce's demands. Even the vaulted Trotter and Douglas. Two great guys that had average seasons after leaving the Eagles considering their self-image of 'franchise' players on a great defense.

Sorry to hear about Vincent and Taylor. Here's hoping the new guys can fill in nicely and limit their 'dumb' mistakes.

"Deion Sanders and Chris McAlister are scheduled to report to the Ravens this week, elevating the team's defensive backfield among the NFL's elite.

Team officials confirmed last night that Sanders is expected to end his three-year retirement and play for the Ravens, which ends two weeks of speculation on whether the seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback would come back to play nickel back (fifth defensive back)....."

Gonna be another interesting year...

Nope the Chargers got Deion on waivers when he was thinking about trying to comeback and play for the Raiders a bit back... but that has all expired now. I'm surprised this isn't considered bigger news...

Because Deion Sanders is old news. He's no Mr. Raider or Darrell Green. He'll play for any team that has a chance of a ring and will pay him. He has no loyalty.

As long as he gives us his all on the field during the season I'm not too concerned about his motiviation for coming back(wanting a ring). It's brought other players back in other sports as well. Long term team loyalty unfortunately is something we're seeing less and less in football these days.

I'm definitely attending to the Baltimore/Washington game. He is going to get burned by our depth. Taylor Jacobs, McCants, Thrash, etc. All those guys are so much faster. Jacobs is a lot stronger and faster. I hope they abuse him good, especially since it's likely McAllister will likely shut down Coles for the afternoon.
