Hell yeah they are. On top of being the clearly superior team, the Chargers are actually playing Rivers. He's been in camp for about twelve minutes and they are putting him in the game. It's going to be a painful experience.

Watching some of these other preseason games im not so down on how the eagles played anymore. Alot of these other teams look much worse, namely divisional opponents.

I dont even know why you guys are so into these preseason games. What I got out of this game? Jake did pretty good, Q ran well. And Watts looks like he is gonna shape up to be a damn good reciever :)

I'm excited about the first team out there, and Domanick Davis cause it was his first game action so far. Carr and Bradford connected for a 47 yarder, Hollings broke a 25 yard run, and Domanick Davis was going nuts finding holes where there were none.

Defense was a little suspect, but 2 of our linebackers were out. Jake had some nice passes though, a bunch of which Dunta knocked down. :)

holt isn't even top 5 WR in the league. i can name a lot of receivers i'd rather have. now, if i built a team around the vaginitis principle (only going on deep fly routes, and crumbling to the ground immediately after a catch over the middle, kind of like the rams receivers) then maybe i would want a pure speed guy like holt. he is overrated and his stats overinflated by the type of offense he plays in. you can basically plug ANY "speedy" player into the rams offense and he will produce good numbers on paper

I took Harrison as the second overall receiver in our Fantasy Football league, but I'd have a damn hard time passing up Holt if he was there at the number 5 receiver.

Is Steve Smith up there on your list?

I can see:

Moss
Harrington
Terrell Owens

and at that point it gets hard to ignore Holt's numbers and abilities. Who am I forgetting? I'm sure there is someone. As far as fantasy numbers go, perhaps Smith can surpass Holt due to his return yards, but overall I'd still take Holt (and I'm a Panther fan, in case you forgot ;))

Hines Ward is very underrated, since we're talking about WRs. Also, look to Andre Johnson to have a big year this year. David Carr has looked sharp in the preseason series' he's been in so far. Something ridiculous like 70% completion. :D

I love Hines, loved him as a QB at Georgia. Loved him as a RB at Georgia...etc...etc.

Not so sure I'd put Andre Johnson on a top five list just yet though.

I've got Andre Johnson on my fantasy team so I hope you're right about a breakout year. I also took Harrison as the second overall receiver.

Damn Eli's stats from last night are terrible. NFL Network is showing the game this afternoon but I'm not sure I can make myself watch it.

Torry Holt may be out of the top five in my book after this year too.

The list:
Moss
Harrisson
Ward/Owens/Holt.

Chad Johnson is very close behind Holt, and if he steps up this year he'll take that fifth spot. I only still have Holt on there because I think Bulger is a very mediocre quarterback and Holt is still doing well.

I don't know how anyone could say ward or owens is better than holt. harrison and holt are about even imo, with moss being the obvious pick. Check the numbers.

brandon lloyd made like 3 amazing catches last yr and all of a sudden he is the next big thing?

he might or might not be but making 2-3 one handed catches doesnt make a star.

effzee he was the 4th receiver on our team. he only caught 16 balls. he had 4 incredible catches out of 16 total. that means 25% of his catches were jaw-dropping (with the catch against the seahawks probably the best catch i've seen in at least 10 years... impossible). if he catches 100 balls this year (odds are he'll catch 125) that means 25 will be awesome. don't be mad that he spooged all over that eagles defender. owens would never go up for a ball like that.

p.s. the eagles WISH they had lloyd as their 2nd receiver. he would pull in all the passes that stinkston never will

however the seahawks have tremendous lead in the division and there is no chance of either of these teams making the playoffs, so this game is pointless.
