Goff didn't look so good. Wentz hasn't had any time to do anything during camp. A lot of draft capital to sit around for a year

I really liked the little game action He's had. I just hope it isn't another Bradford situation. I think if the game counted and he was needed then he'd have played yesterday, but to throw him out there during the regular season with so little play time will be interesting.

There was a report that if it was live games and he was the starter then he would have been back week 3. But given that the plan is to essentially red shirt him anyway there was no reason to rush him back.

I did like what I saw tho I really wanna see him play. Maybe he'll close out the season when we have 3 divisional games at home

Charles Barkley on Elliot visiting the dispensary in Seattle
“I’m like, c’mon man, you gotta be smarter than that. I’m not a marijuana guy, I think I’ve told you, I smoked pot like five times in my life. All it did was [make] me want to eat potato chips. It was a waste of my time. I didn’t feel no euphoria, it didn’t take me to no special place, I just said, ‘Do we have any more potato chips in the state of Alabama or Pennsylvania?’

At this point I'm thinking the best option is to wait and see who gets released from the Jets, Eagles, and 49ers.

I'd be happy with Chase Daniels, Geno, hell... I'd even be okay if they grabbed Ponder up (fml).

Doubtful the Bucs trade Glennon at this point. The guys listed above could very well be cut. There could even be others.

You would not be happy with Chase.

FMT pushing buttons in that Kap thread in ot. You gonna get banned playing around over there man.
I thought his posts were funny.

I hate when people have no sense of humor. And I am not saying that because I have been banned several times on some jokes that were badly received (and possibly reported/snitched on by "people"). OT don't fuck around on certain things and they can argue like rabid dogs when they smell blood over something that might be offensive.

Speaking of Kap, America is a rough ass country. We are going to fuck your shit up if you challenge certain things Ali is one of the only people I can think of who protested, stood his ground and got away with it in the end. Most people either end up alone and broke or dead. So fuck people questioning Kap's motives. It is scary as fuck to make a stand like that in the US unless you are a right white person (and even then you might pay for it). Everyone in the media is going to jump over themselves to prove how patriotic they are and how shitty Kap is. And it is even scarier for him because he ain't even that good.

I just don't understand how anyone that is paid to be a professional evaluator of football talent could watch Christian Hackenberg's film and come to the conclusion that he is a valuable NFL prospect.

Are there any safeties being cut that aren't complete garbage?

Texans likely cutting Antonio Allen. Safety that had that pick 6 in the 4th quarter last night. That was the first time all preseason he did something of note in a game but he is versatile and can play CB or safety

Yeah he was bad in college. I really wonder what the Jets do now. Obviously Fitz is the starter, but then you have Hack, Petty, and Geno. Hack and Geno both look bad. I wonder if the Jets try to sneak Hack through waivers. Normally teams are so QB starved that you wouldnt think a 2nd round pick QB could get through waivers, but my god he was historically bad last night.

It was mostly that he showed promise under O'Brien and when Franklin took over they clashed. I guess most evaluators would try to excuse some things he did with Franklin

I didn't see the game last night so I'm not sure of the severity of his injury, but I think they keep Fitz, Geno and Hack on the roster and then stash Petty for a year on IR. Maybe the Vikings get desperate and trade for Geno, but unless that happens I think they carry 3 QBs.

There's no way they release Hackenberg though. No GM is going to give up on a second round pick they made and cut him before the season even starts. You might as well just tender your resignation at the same time. And the Jets weren't the only team in the league stupid enough to think he has talent, there is no way he would make it through and onto their practice squad.

PS3 and PSP had the same idea as the NX but it was 2 different consoles right?

For the 2 people who actually did cross play or whatever it was how was it?

Part of my brain thinks the NX is a brilliant idea, but I feel like Sony already tried something like this and no one gave a fuck. Then again I am not sure how big smartphones and tablets were at the time either and I also don't now how well Sony pulled it off.

Also, so scared of the Steelers potentially being really good this year. This is the worst. I envy teams destined for failure. You got it good Cleveland!

The only people I've ever called being busts from the moment they were drafted were Manziel and Hackenberg

Can confirm from watching every game of Hack's at college that there was no chance he was ever not busting

Sony tried it with Vita and PS4. Vita ended up being a failure and Sony 1st party stopped making games for it. Some indie games supported it but it was little messed up. You basically have to remember to save and upload each time so you can download it on the console you wanted to play on (Vita or PS4).

NX is one thing so you don't have to worry about uploading and downloading. Also since it's 1 console, Nintendo 1st party would have to work on 1 console instead of 2.

They tried a similar thing, yeah. I think the biggest difference is that the handheld will output the same graphical fidelity as the big screen side of the system.

How big is a 4-0 preseason? Since #Texans' 2002 inception, 27 teams went 4-0 in preseason. Only 2003 Patriots, 2013 Seahawks won it all.

Of the 23 NFL teams to go 4-0 in the preseason from 2002-15, only 12 made the playoffs. #Texans

Good to know the 2016 Texans are the 2013 Seahawks.

My roster prediction for the G-Men.

Offense:

QB(2): Eli Manning, Ryan Nassib - This one is easy. Nassib isn't a great back-up and likely isn't going to win us any games but the team will move forward with him based on Eli's durability. It's his last season under contract and I doubt the Giants make any effort to retain him moving forward. Nice use of a 4th round pick, Jerry!

RB(4): Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen, Orleans Darkwa, Paul Perkins
- There's some thought that the Giants will keep 5 because they likely won't carry a fullback. I don't buy it. Williams could possibly push Darkwa off of the roster but fuck that. Darkwa is the better talent.

WR (6): Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shephard, Victor Cruz, Dwayne Harris, Tavarres King, Geremy Davis - Roger Lewis could push Davis off of the roster but Davis is a draft pick. I think he sticks. King did more than enough to earn his roster spot.

TE (4): Larry Donnell, Will Tye, Will Johnson, Jerrell Adams - Sorry ass group of blockers here outside of Will Johnson who is still injured. He'll make the roster for his blocking abilities though. Donnell/Tye will share starting duties. Adams is a draft pick and will stick but I'll bet he doesn't dress for some games unless he really starts blocking like a champ.

OL (9): Erek Flowers, Justin Pugh, Weston Richburg, John Jerry, Marshall Newhouse, Will Beatty, Bobby Hart, Brett Jones, Emmett Cleary - I think the Giants will go heavy here given the offensive line struggles. The depth here is pitiful right now until Beatty shows he's in a game shape and can contribute. I would not be surprised to see veteran depth brought in before the season starts. If that happens. drop this down to 8 (likely drop either Cleary or Jones) and add another linebacker or CB.

Defense:

DT(4) - Damon Harrison, Jonathan Hankins, Jay Bromley, Jermelle Cudjo - I think Cudjo earned his spot last night. Millhouse could also slide into that last spot as well.

DE(5) - Olivier Vernon, Jason Pierre Paul, Owa Odighizuwa, Kerry Wynn, Romeo Okwara - I'd be floored if the Giants don't make room for Okwara here. You don't drop a good pass rush prospect. The other option is they drop Wynn and keep Okwara but Wynn flashed since he came back from injury.Given Spags tendency to rotate pass rushers, I think we go 5 here.

LB(7) - Jonathan Casillas, Devon Kennard, Jasper Brinkley, BJ Goodson, Keenan Robinson, JT Thomas - Herzlich could once again find himself on the roster based on specials. Though I feel like the team likes Thomas more. They are interchangeable so this one is pure gut from me.

CB(5) - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple, Leon Hall, Trevin Wade - Wade earned that final spot last night. I think the Giants like Donte Deayon and he'll end up on the practice squad.

Safety(4) - Darien Thompson, Landon Collins, Nat Berhe, Mykelle Thompson - Thompson is a draft pick so I think he'll stick as the organization likes his athleticism. Though I feel like Andrew Adams did more to earn his spot. He could end up on the roster but I'm going with the draft pick here.

Specialists:

Kicker - Randy Bullock
Punter - Brad Wing
Long Snapper - Zak DeOssie

At least for one week until he's dumped when Josh Brown returns.;)

Bastard..

On another note: Larry Izzo starting to get some major love down here. Havent seen the Texans kick and punt coverage teams actually cover in games in.....well forever, like that have this year.
