Tampa radio is super pissed at ESPN for blowing this out of proportion. Now Jameis will never have the courage to talk to students again and the students will suffer because of it.
lol!!!

I don't understand why you have him speaking to school kids anyway. Outside of being famous and being good at football what possible insight could he have for a group of kids?
When you come from nothing, any sign of success is a positive oneI don't understand why you have him speaking to school kids anyway. Outside of being famous and being good at football what possible insight could he have for a group of kids?
Damn it
on one hand, the phrasing in that quote could also mean he was talking to both the boys and girls and saying they can do anything, and he was simply pointing out the societal double standard of how women are told to be silent while men are supposed to be strong, not that he specifically supports that.
As someone who lived through the farce of Winston's "innocence" wrt sexual assault, I can say with all certainty that you have no earthly idea what you're talking about, especially considering that he was never brought before a court to adjudicate guilt or innocence. But you keep capin' for your heroes, bruh.

Any person that gives kids hope that they can be something better than their current situation dictates is always a good thing. Except when they shout down and silence an entire group based on their gender.
Pack it up.What a crabby thing to say.
Just another reason why Mariota > Winston

Isn't this sports radio's M.O.?
"I throw balls far. You want good words - date a languager."
I get that a lot of athletes come from nothing, but it's just so weird that they are so often treated like defacto role models.
I get that a lot of athletes come from nothing, but it's just so weird that they are so often treated like defacto role models. Like, "hey kids if you are lucky enough to fall into the smallest percentile of human beings with the physical traits and abilities to play professional football, you too can be a millionaire at 23!" I mean, if you are going to get a pro athlete at least maybe try and find one with some life experience. Jameis is a relative baby and his career is just starting, hence him saying stupid shit.
How had I never seen that before? That's not quite at the butt fumble level, but it's not too far away.

Its not about which gender performs better it's about a male role model spreading harmful and toxic gender expectations on impressionable young people. That sounds bad but girls generally do better at school of every level these days so i'm not exactly weeping for him giving those boys "special" encouragement.
Damn it
