Two po boy stop recommendations if you're ever in my neck of the woods:
Parasol's, in the heart of the Irish Channel, on the corner of Third and Constance (one block off of Magazine Street, toward the river): my favorite po-boys in the city. For those of you who like it hot, they also make a "firecracker" shrimp po-boy that's really tasty. Sit at the bar, eat, watch football, have a few beers.. or go upstairs into the dining area.
Mahoney's, also in the Irish Channel, but on 3454 Magazine Street itself. Their po-boys are excellent, but they make a curiosity that I crave like little else: a root beer-glazed ham sandwich on po-boy bread. It's insane. It's a big bite of heaven. Mmm. I wish I had one right now.
I gained 15 pounds in the year since moving back. The food here in insane. Enjoy.. haha!

Jim Harbaugh betrayed his quarterback Alex Smith and threw him out like a piece of garbage after Alex was one muffed punt away from the Super Bowl last season. Alex was playing well again this year and got hurt, sacrificing his body to try and help the team win. Harbaugh never let him see the field again.
This is why the Niners will never win a Super Bowl until Alex Smith does. It is The Curse of Alex Smith.
Also he's a douchebag and throws childish tantrums on the sideline.
