Flynn now is way better than what you saw at LSU, assuming he didn't magically regress when he entered the draft. When he first arrived in GB he simply wasn't good. It wasn't even obvious he had the tools to be an NFL QB.
Hard to say how far he's come until he has to play some regular season games as the starter, but I do think he'll be a decent starting QB.

It's a complete kneejerk reaction and if Hard Knocks says anything, Philbin was tired of dealing with him, and this was an excuse just to get rid of him.

He's been a complete waste for the past couple of seasons. He was a waste of a roster spot in NE last year. TO outplayed him the year they spent together in Cincy, and IIRC he sulked about it.
When the diva WR is putting up big numbers, you put up with his antics. When he can't even make it on the field, and he's over 30 and likely not ever gonna be the same player again... well then, you cut him.
Let's face it if he was still putting up big numbers, the Fins would have fined him for this transgression and moved on. But right now he's just a headache and a distraction.

He must not have been impressing anyone at camp. I haven't seen all of episode 1 of Hard Knocks, maybe the coaches just didn't like him.

Must have been tough to go without GAF over his summer break.
So crazy to me. I don't post as much in the offseason, but I started posting in NFLGAF in 2003, the year the Panthers made it to the Super Bowl (such a magical season). That was '03-'04, so this will be my 9th year on GAF...jeez.
Time flies, doesn't it? Especially the older you get.
