NFL Week 12 |OT| What Are You Thankful For?

Mixed emotions in that it was great to see Alex play so much better these last 25 games, but it was also so painful to know we are a QB away from being an insane force for the next 5 years.

alex was getting better. and who knows if he continued in this offense how much better he would get? i see 49ers fans talking about alex not going deep enough and it is a fair point i suppose but its like they're expecting every play to be a 7 step drop and chuck it downfield to moss for a jump ball touchdown. it doesn't work that way.

the way alex smith plays CAN put pressure on a defense. go ahead and laugh but when you have a guy that just isn't making mistakes and lets say you get down by 10 or 14 early, then you start pressing as a defense to make a play and thats when stuff opens up down the field. alex has always been too conservative and that is his main issue. i think part of the reason harbs is going to kap (if he is) is because our defense is more inconsistent than last year. yeah, we have games like we did against the jets and bears and bills and cards. but then our defense has games like we did against the vikes, giants and rams.

some games we are going to need to score 30 points to win and harbs believes kap gives us a better chance to do that. is he right? we'll see!

I feel like Sad Keanu Reeves should be shopped in there.

Definitely sucks for Alex now that he's finally found a suitable system. However, CK has much more potential and may be the extra oomph needed for a SB run. I like Alex as a man, but he still seems to panic a bit in the pocket and lost his deep ball after shoulder surgery.

That said, book ain't closed yet. CK stuggles this week and job is Alex's again (shortest leash in nfl history IMO). Beyond that, some people forget Bledsoe beat the Steelers in the AFCCG on the way to Brady's first SB - he played a huge role in winning that ring and did it like a pro !

Respectfully, not trolling, but I don't think Peyton's window and the Raiders window will have a lot of overlap

What are you talking about? Raiders don't have a window. Why would I care about Peyton's window in relation to the Raiders' supposed window? I wasn't asking for Peyton to go to the Raiders.

Think he meant that by the time the Raiders have their issues sorted out in a couple years, Peyton will be done by then.

Kap looked good. I agree that Alex was limiting things but it still has to sting. Most teams with SF still on the schedule probably would rather face Alex than Kap
Exactly. Partly due to less film, but I think mainly due to Kap just having that skill set that allows for much more improvisation.

The only reason Kap didn't go first round was his knowledge and reads weren't up to par, so it would be a risk to put him in year one. Spending a year and a half behind the scenes with Harbaugh no less, he has the potential to be a major game changer.

I agree with all of this, but I just don't see what Alex is doing that Kap can't. Maybe his reads at the line won't be quite as good, but they were damn, damn good on Monday.

Add in his extra mobility, how this causes teams to commit an LB to spying, and his incredible arm and accuracy, and the upside of Kap in this same offense is insane.

Maybe I missed the comments on this already, but NFL.com has literally put up discussion pieces on whether RGIII is the greatest rookie of all time.

OF ALL TIME.

It's like they're trying harder to make sure no one takes anything they say seriously.

Jimmy Johnson said he is the MVP of the league and the greatest QB he has ever seen in his life.

Just two pics of topless broads. Barely qualifies as porn.
oh nvm then. Carry on.
So you know what the funnest part of the night was?

I finally sobered up at 11 PM, so it was time to come home from the cousins house.

She lives off of Exit 3 on the NJ Turnpike. I live in North Jersey.

Then I completely forgot this fucking game was at the Meadowlands.

Stuck in traffic for 2+ hours after the meadowlands to add injury to insult.......

I turned it off after the 2nd quarter. My sister and my cousins forced me to stop watching and refused to let me ruin the night for them. So we popped in Annie and I spent time playing with my cousin's newborn and sang Annie songs with her.

God fuck this team.
aahahhahahahhaha fuck yo team clown.

Yea, that was cringe-worthy. C'mon Jimmy.

If you're actually watching these Redskins games, he's not nearly as accurate as the stats show. He's constantly throwing too far behind or too far ahead of players. He also makes bad decisions like a typical rookie QB does. He's good, but I wonder how effective he'd be without this running game the Skins have with Alfred Morris. A lot of his play-making ability has come off the play action.

It was worth it just for Bradshaw shitting on him.

I was up late playing my new copy of XCOM. Fun game.

Except there is apparently no autosave activated by default so I lost four hours of progress. Thats just fucking stupid.

Why do you have to turn on autosave?

Listening to talk radio today and apparently the Pats only had the ball for little over 2 minutes in the 2nd quarter and scored 35 points.

RG3 is having a better rookie year than Scam and many called him the best rookie ever. Not outrageous IMO, he's incredible.

The sun will come up. Tomorrow.
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow...

Who am I kidding? That organization is a joke.

What are good brand power tools?

I want to buy my mother some for Christmas but I'm considerably unmanly and not educated in such matters.

Probably would just get a power drill, some drill bits, and a solid storage box.

Then Brock will arrive.

Seriously though, I hope the Raiders do sort everything out. I used to love good, competitive games in the division. Right now we are the second worse division, only behind the AFC East imo. I would appreciate it even if the Chiefs came back, the games in the 90's with them were great. I miss that era.

Get Bosch!

I have no idea how good they are compared to the competition, but hey, they're German!

Powerball jackpot is at $325 million. Anyone thinking of buying a ticket?
Only idiots buy lottery tickets. I imagine a lot of people are buying them.

Also Harbaugh obviously ditched Alex because he does not believe in him. The Niners are not going deep in he playoffs with a young qb with no NFL experience. The Niners can't be dumb enough to not know that. I think that is it for Alex as a Niner. I would not him as a backup in Pitt, which I always said he was perfect for.
