Not necessarily. Can the Pats beat the Ravens or Steelers?

I know Giant fans on here aren't really talking shit, thats more of a reflection on my facebook news feed lately. Just frustrating.

I really don't think this is a deal breaker. Team is still 9-3. We always split the season series with the Pats, we have every year since 2000. We can bounce back with some good defense and good coaching. Sanchez has been up and down, but seems to come through in tough games, let's see how it plays out. Don't tear this team apart because they've played ONE bad game all year.

They have beaten both of them already. :/

I don't think it is a deal breaker either but we definitely have a long way to go and really have to bounce back good from this.

But so have we!

Yeah, this one's a tough one to swallow, but we've played too well this year to really count ourselves out/inflate them to elite status.

Nothing is over. Let's try to let this one go and bring it to Miami next week.

After Miami, Bears and Steelers on the road before the Bills at home. We need to win two of those games. The team needs confidence. Let's be confident!

HOLY shit. I never venture into this thread, but god damn. Fuckin' Jets man. Work will not be fun tomorrow.

Could be worse...my sister in law is a Pats fan...I feel really bad for my brother right about now. :lol

Edit:

What? We lost to the Ravens in a horrible offensive performance and haven't played the Steelers yet. :lol

Haha, been there before. Dating a girl who roots for your biggest rival in ANY sport is both fun and torturous at the same time.

They've already beat both teams, they beat the Ravens in OT and destroyed the Steelers.

Brady is 12-5 against the Jets (not sure if that includes tonight or not), so not sure how the Jets have split with the Pats every season since 2000.

Man, I'm going to take SO MUCH SHIT at work tomorrow. I probably shouldn't have put that picture of Brady in uggs up in the lunch room.

Don't front. The division and home field got way harder. Everyone knows this game was huge.

Absolutely got that wrong in my rage (and slight drunkenness). Apologies.

Factor in Brady's 08 injury and bledsoe years and I think it works out, but Brady has had our number most of the decade. He's 2-2 against the Rex era though.

Jets are 5-1 on the road and 4-2 at home. Home field (while big) isn't a HUGE deal for this team at this point.

And I have to front, I bleed for this team! Gotta try to sugar coat it any way possible!

Pats still have to beat some good teams. The Bears and Packers are no joke.

They are capable of beating Miami and Buffalo and split Bears and GB. I won big money against a donkey ass Miami fan betting best record against the Pats :lol

No worries.

Yeah he's struggled against Rex on the road.

Jets have have the Dolphins at home, Bears and Steelers on the road, then the Bills at home.

Tough schedule for both.

You have to hope the Jets win three out of four of those games and the pats split their games. Which is doable. Pats could easily lose to the Packers and Bears.

I don't know what point you're trying to make but you're failing miserably. The Cowboys suck. The Chargers don't.
my point is your talent argument is utter shit and by the sounds of it your total homer and yes the bolts do indeed suck.

Word. Possibly playing an extra playoff game on the road and not getting a bye is no big deal...

I feel like two wins out of those 4 should get us in the playoffs (you kiddin' me?!). Then we'll see what happens from there.

I'll tell ya this though, if these two teams rematch in Gillette this January, it won't be a blowout like that. Rex would never allow it. Even the best teams have bad games, look at the Pats in Cleveland a few weeks back, or the Steelers against the Pats, or the Giants against the Colts, or the Falcons in Week 1.

Damn I didn't know the Jets schedule was that tough. Good news for Pats fans.

Yea if they lose to either the bears or the Packers they are in good position assuming they win the other three games. As long as the Pats don't lose within the division they should get home field throughout the play offs.

Edit: Any bears fans still on GAF right now? How are the Bears linebackers in coverage?

My point was more related to the Jets 5-1 road record this year and their playoff success against adversity/road crowds under Rex last year.

Obviously everyone wants a bye. My comment about that was a way to sugar coat tonight's loss, as I mentioned.

Why are the Packers better than the Bears?

Perfect just the man to answer my question. Are the Bears LBs any good covering? Other than Peppers who can get to the QB on the Bears? How good are the safeties. I need to do some homework on the Bears.

Edit: What defense do the Bears run?

I will leave it at this. If the Bears don't get home field through out the playoffs they have no chance of a SB period. Cutler winning 4 games in a row against good teams is an impossibility.

Not sure if serious.

Jesus... are you going to ask that any time someone says the Packers are better than the Bears ? People have differing opinions. If I cried every time someone said some team was better than the Packers this season I wouldve drowned in my own tears already.

A better question is why do you care what he thinks? Him saying the Bears or the Packers are the better team doesn't validate or invalidate your team. It doesn't have any impact on the results of their games. You don't need to be offended and prove yourself to everyone who makes fun of Cutler or the Bears.

TheFatOne said:
Sorry fellas I have not watched many games this season. I have only been able to watch Pats games for the most part. Totally serious questions because I have no clue who the hell plays for the Bears.
The defensive scheme they use means the LBs have to be good at coverage. So the answer is yes.

TheFatOne said:
Makes sense. I need to go watch some Bears highlights on nfl.com
They are shocked at the question because it doesn't require watching the Bears at all this year. The scheme came with Lovie and the players are the same. Look up "Tampa 2 defense" online.

Bookmarking this for when we have our bounce back game, stomping you fucks next week. :lol

The play design on Sanchez's 3rd INT is absolutely putrid, his only real option is the running back. Hard to tell if there was another viable receiver because the angle is poor, pressbox or bust.

Wow, just saw the Patriots dropped 45 on the Jets just a couple days after I said there weren't any great teams in the NFL this year. Shut me up.
