This is a new day and season my friend. If we can manage to get some pressure on Bulger, which Mora Jr. and company are all about, then we will take this game.

Fresh off a nine-catch, 111-yard performance in his first game with the Cowboys, receiver Keyshawn Johnson fired a few profanity laced parting shots at his former Bucs coach and teammates.
In an interview with Jeffri Chadiha for Sports Illustrated's Web site, Johnson criticized Jon Gruden, Warren Sapp and Ronde Barber, calling Barber an "Uncle Tom" for his comments in support of Gruden's move to deactivate Johnson for the final six games of 2003.
At the time, Barber called it "a necessary decision."
"Ronde Barber is an Uncle Tom," Johnson told SI.com. "They'll cut him one day like they do everybody else, but he's trying to be political and kiss Gruden's butt."
Johnson added that he and Barber "will have words" when next they meet.

Smith has surgery to repair break
Receiver should return this season
By Darin Gantt The Herald
(Published September 15 2004)
CHARLOTTE -- The good news for the Carolina Panthers is Steve Smith's not out for the season, but that's about the extent of it.
Smith, the Panthers' leading receiver, had surgery Tuesday to repair a broken left fibula. He suffered the injury in Monday's 24-14 loss to Green Bay when Packers linebacker (and former Panther) Hannibal Navies fell across the back of his ankle late in the fourth quarter.
Panthers coach John Fox said Smith should return this year, but couldn't specify a time. Other players with similar injuries have missed anywhere from four to 10 weeks.
"He's not out for the season, but anything short of that I don't know at this point," Fox said. "Obviously that's a blow to lose a guy like Steve Smith. He's a big-play guy for us offensively and in the kicking game.
"But as is part of football, there's injuries."
While injuries always happen, injuries with this kind of effect on a team are rare.
"It kind of makes the hurt a little bit more," Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme said after Monday's loss.
Smith blossomed into the Panthers' one true deep threat last year, leading the team with 88 catches for 1,110 yards (12.9 yards per reception) and seven touchdowns. He improved on those numbers in the playoffs, with 18 catches for 404 yards (22.4) and three scores, including the memorable overtime game-winner in St. Louis.
The offensive maturity came after he made an immediate impact as a rookie returner, making the Pro Bowl in 2001. Including his return yards and offensive totals, only three players league-wide had more net yards from 2001 through 2003.
Though the void left by Smith can't be filled by anyone on this roster, rookie Keary Colbert gets the first shot.
Colbert wasn't even active Monday against Green Bay because he doesn't have a role on special teams and hasn't developed enough to knock Ricky Proehl out of the No. 3 receiver slot. He'll leapfrog Proehl Sunday at Kansas City, leaving the veteran to stick to third-down work.
Fox said he didn't plan to adjust the team's play-calling, hoping that the flash Colbert showed during the preseason returns.
Colbert hooked up with third quarterback Chris Weinke on three long touchdowns (42, 68 and 87 yards) during the exhibition season, averaging 34.6 yards per catch.
"We feel good about Keary Colbert," Fox said. "Steve Smith was a big-play guy and really, everything Keary Colbert's showed us, he was a big-play guy throughout the preseason. So he's going to get his opportunity."
The injury also complicates special teams.
By activating Colbert, there's probably not a spot on the active roster for backup punt returner Eugene Baker.
That means the punt return duties will likely fall to rookie cornerback Chris Gamble, although he has plenty on his plate already.
He'll have an expanded challenge next week against Kansas City's potent passing game, meaning the Panthers might be wise to allow him to focus on his defensive responsibilities. But because of shortages elsewhere, keeping five receivers to reduce Gamble's burden would probably be a luxury they can't afford.
The Panthers also have to deal with the psychological body slam of losing an ugly game and their brightest young star the same night, facing a tough road trip on a short week.
"You know, it is what it is," Fox said. "We're going to have to deal with it, and we've had injuries before and we've had guys step up. That's been a part of football for a long time, and it's not going to change.
"He was a big part of what we do, but now we have to have other guys step up."

John Madden: eeeeen that game was probably the greatest performance i've ever seen in the course of my life of all time ever. words can't describe the way i feel about favre. he is a friend, a lover, a football player, a son, a husband, a driver, a shopper, a paycheck earner, a dad, a brother, a big game hunter, a swimmer, a boat rider, and most importantly a warrior. a true warrior. when i see favre out there like a sweet child... a sweet innocent child with no concept of earning money, or the politics of the nfl, or the business side, when i see those things i say i'm sorry god but you're fired, there's a new kid on the block. i love you favre... i love you

"I know he [coach Brian Billick] wants to take it slow because this is a marathon and not a sprint, but I really want to get in there and do something," Sanders said. "It's hard to sit over on the sideline when something is not happening. You really want to make a play and spark them."
Asked what he brought to the receiver position, Sanders said, "Fear to the opposing player. Once I get the ball in my hands, I know what to do with it."
Lucky Forward said:While it may sound like wishful thinking that Deion can return to his triple-threat days, the Ravens are so thin at receiver now, it's worth a try. Travis Taylor is out for four weeks with a groin injury, leaving Kevin Johnson and talented-but-inexperienced Randy Hymes as the starters, with rookies Devard Darling and Clarence Moore completing the receiver roster.
At the end of Week 2, no more than 12 teams will be 2-0. In the past two seasons combined, 18 of the 24 playoff teams (75 percent) began the year either 1-1 or 0-2. The past three Super Bowl champions began their seasons with a 1-1 or 0-2 record.
Whats up with the play calling? Fox said it best when, with under two minutes in the fourth quarter with the Panthers trying to rally a comeback, you could read Foxs lips What the FUCK was that? - after Dan Henning ran a running play that netted -1 yards.
