Peggies Peggies the job is fine, pros and cons of being made to go into the office and my desk situation is suboptimal, and I already got into a 2 hour argument/spirited discussion with one of the owners about regulations (but we’re cool)….but a big pro is that first paycheck is the biggest I ever have had so I was like daaaaamn. Between severance/PTO payout/unemployment/tax return that came through and the wife picking up way more hours, the financial hit from getting laid off was pretty minimal. Didn’t have to run up a credit card balance or ask anyone for help, although my parents do pick up the kiddos from school one day a week now, which they are happy to do so eh.

So yeah, financial discipline, competence and success in my field, a clinician wife who makes good money, and being a white male who makes people laugh while telling them to obey the law pays off I guess.

One of the streaming TV apps I watch on occasion Weather Channel sometimes run these ads for a stupid product called Boost Oxygen.

Every single time I see that ad all I can picture is President Skroob (Spaceballs) cracking open a can of Perri-Air.

My thought as well. Multiple people offered the exact same advice and he'd respond with another series of long posts repeating the same complaints and excuses. It was obvious the thread was going nowhere. It wouldn't matter how many more people posted in the thread, it just would have been more of the same. If his situation is truly as dire as claimed, he really doesn't need to be wasting time on that thread anyway.

Since that thread was locked, he's back to posting in the Echoes of Wisdom OT and other threads like he doesn't have a care in the world. Sure makes one wonder...

Smelt fishy from the start and that smell got stronger the longer it went on. No doubt it'll be forgotten about until the next attention seeking topic is created. I just about recall the topic nush nush referred to from a couple of years ago.

It's difficult to ignore, however if he keeps doing it and each time it ends up being a whole lot of nothing, I fear it'll be a case of the boy who cried wolf when he's in some actual serious situation.
