No way we would make it. Flash's broken hand, Bergy's broken foot and Versteeg's hip leaves the team with 1/2 of the top 6.God damn do those game 6 and game 7 losses hurt after watching round 2 Philly.

@nhl, who wants all those "if necessary" games anyway?
Did you think the same thing when they were down 3-0 to the Bruins? The Flyers were 3-0 against this team in the regular season with Bryz, so they must be able to beat them. They look slow and they are getting out worked, I think they can fix both but they need to come out and want it. The Devils are not this much better then the Pens, the Flyers can beat them but getting out shot by 20 isnt going to get it down.
And for that the hockey world will be forever gratefulAt least we beat the pens?

Even if it does go through, it's merely just delaying the inevitable.
I've never had any hate towards Phoenix, and I certainly don't understand it coming from others. Their style of play? Sure, I get that. Otherwise? No, not really.
I don't like that the hate is coming from Canadian hockey fans mostly.
AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
So Rangers VS Devils, Kings VS Coyottes, then Rangers VS Kings, and Rangers win the cup.
I think the feeling that the hate is coming mostly from Canadian hockey fans is that Canada feels more strongly about an American team moving (back) to Canada. Makes sense, I think?
Apparently Bettman will be in Arizona tomorrow to announce the sale. The hate towards the team is just the fact that they have 13 fans and as Winnipeg showed, there are communities and potential fans much more deserving of a team then Arizona.
Could be because I lack sleep, but I understood nothing of this (sorry). :lol
I suppose, but I get this "kid who wants everything" vibe from Canadians who talk about expansion or relocation to Canadian cities. Sure, Quebec's getting that new arena, but when it comes down to having a 2nd team in the GTA or Hamilton (PFFFTLOL) getting a team, it gets to that stage of stupidity.
Winnipeg had the infrastructure ready to take the Thrashers, so that's fine with me. Quebec? No arena (yet), and where's that ownership group?
If Phoenix can keep their team, good for them. If they can't, too bad. But this "x city deserves a team more than y city" mentality is really immature and stupid.

Americans are more "meh" because they might dislike Phoenix, but losing Phoenix would mean losing an "American" team to Canada.
Let me assure you no one here gives a flying fuck. In fact, most of us would probably rather see Phoenix move to a market that would actually support the team.

I was just trying to make sense of this.
I don't really see where he got that idea anyways.
Some parts of it really reminds me about the old Cooke hit on Savard. How he skates clearly in front of him, watches the head and delivers. However the Cooke was more malicious since Savard had a harder time to tell that he was coming. Here's the Giroux hit if anyone missed it:

Anyone wan't to take a Shanaban guess?
Is Giroux a star? Yeah => 0 games
wouldn't it be a conflict of interest if the yotes win the cup?
Damn that Yotes news is depressing. They need to get that team to an area that will support it. I feel so bad for the players, stuck playing in front of an empty arena for who knows how long.
I haven't looked, but what's their attendance been like in the playoffs? Surely it's a bit better than the regular season.
The remaining teams in the Playoffs have better Defensmen and better Goalies and that appears to be the case for 2012's playoffs success in the end zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Yes. Looks especially shady when the league is obviously doing everything it can to keep the team from moving.wouldn't it be a conflict of interest if the yotes win the cup?
Any chance this new Coyotes owner behaves like, say, Michael Heisley or Clay Bennett?
No. The NHL makes new owners sign non-relocation agreements when they take over a team.
How long does the agreement term last?
So I'm going up to Newark to hopefully see the flyers give some effort and tie the series. devils-gaf anything to do up there? Besides not get shot?
