Played the PS2 demo. A big improvement, though it wont beat NHL 2k6.

Well, NHL 06 doesn't seem as good as even NHL 2k5, so I'm not worried about it unseating it.

Main thing I'm looking forward to in 2k6 is icon passing and skating backwards with the puck. Those two features combined should make powerplays awesome.

Tried the game but it doesnt seem to work on my Saitek P880, everytime I take control of the puck the players just begin spinning in circles. Tried recalibrating it, but no change. Has anyone else encountered this?

Click start/run/regedit and browse to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\

There you will see a bunch of folders named something like VID_1038&PID_0100, open each of them until you see Saitek P880 listed on the right hand side of the screen in the OEMName category.

Now double click on OEMName, a new box will pop up with the controller name inside, rename it to Logitech Dual Action, click ok and exit regedit. That should get rid of the spinning.

I'm having a problem of my own...

My controller doesnt seem to work, it's like one button is continually being pressed. I'm using a playstation controller with a ps-pc adapter. Anyone can help?

Got it working by the same fix I had suggested hehe.

Here's a link to a place where you can download 2 files, one of them is to mess around with the graphics quality (including the resolution!) and the other is to mess around with the rules (you can play all difficulty modes and all 3 periods!).

So far it's much better than NHL 2005 though for me I think I will stick with 2K.
