Welp. Streak had to end at some point. Would have been nice to have it end in a game where the Blackhawks weren't shooting themselves in the foot every 2 seconds. Roszival needs to get the fuck out this team now. He's been worse than Handzus was last year and that's saying something.

Every time I look at the Islanders roster, it surprises me how solid it actually looks.
Leafs fans, you don't have to worry. Wings aren't scoring another goal this game. It was over as soon as they scored that third goal. Detroit doesn't win games like this, you can tell they're just coasting now. Everything is a one off, no pressure, and they're doing the chip and chase method instead of carrying it in.
Only 2 more years!

Was Franzen called for slashing? Replay showed Franzen trying to trip Phaneuf after the whistle - purposefully trying to get his stick and Phaneuf's leg tied up. Then Kessel rightfully retaliates.
Maybe it's not slashing, but it's a penalty on Franzen.
