Get Nash the fuck out of Colombus.

If Canucks fans had to choose between being to keep one goaltender and sending the other away who would you guys keep? I don't think I've ever seen Schnieder pull out a bad performance, but I've seen Lou press out a few steamers, but I've also haven't seen a lot of games Schnieders been in.

Well obviously Schneider's the cheaper option, but I'm not sure if a contender can rely on a prospect to lead them to a Cup.

Holy shit Boyle just decimated Broussard in that fight. I fucking love Boyle, our little cannon.

lol @ the shot of Burns just sitting there smiling and nodding his head after the fight.

Schneider is obviously less of a sure thing since he's had a shorter career and Luongo really never slumps outside of October. For that reason I'll probably have to go with Luongo, as much shit as he gets, but I can see some people choosing Schneider instead. There are zero downsides to his game and no reason to think that he can't keep this up during his career. Luongo's got more baggage and those dark circles under his eyes make it look like he's miserable even when he's smiling. Schneider honestly looks too 'cool' to ever worry about things.

There won't be MUCH difference in cap hits, btw. Schneider will be commanding $3-4M as a starter, I think.

You saw that slash on Stalberg too! ;)
Yep. Both ways.

Glad the Sharks finally figured out how to play bad teams. No more of those fucking 2-1 shootout wins over Colombus.

Also with better goal tending Colombus wouldn't be THAT bad, at least competitive with the other lower teams.

Yes Marvie, someone made a funny GIF from the game, so I must be being salty by posting it

What play was Quenneville reacting to, anyway? They didn't show it in any of the hilights.

One of the Hawks got in behind the Canucks D on a semi-breakaway in OT and Hamhuis one hand slashed him in the hands. It was borderline. If it wasn't OT they probably call it, but because it was OT I can see why it wasn't called (especially with the standard they'd set throughout the game).

Well it's a new day.

The Leafs will be super pissed and playing on their home ice. We'll probably have BJ in net.

That said, if our defense shows up to play (I can't believe how bad they were last night. At least they know it, they were brutal on themselves in the post game interviews), I still like our chances. Pulling 4 points out of this back-to-back would be so sweet.

Super pissed? Leafs always look incredible gassed during back to back games >.<

When do the Pens play next? I'm pretty sure the Monster will be in net for us again since we don't play until Saturday I believe.

MAF has started what 22ish games in a row? No need to rest him now, this is another huge game for you guys. Say what you want but we are within "distance" of you guys.

He's played 22 straight games, hasn't started all of them. BJ has been... sub-optimal, let's say. I'm basing BJ being in net on the fact that Bylsma said he's going to start him at some point soon. We do have back-to-backs ever single weekend this month, so I think BJ will be getting more starts than he has.

But you're right, this is an important game, Fleury may very well start. I get the feeling that they want to rest him more though, as a playoff spot starts looking more and more likely for us. Fleury pulled us through a rough patch and has been a major reason (maybe the major reason) why we've won eight in a row.

And we play next on Saturday, against Boston. The rest of this month isn't too bad, I think we should win most of the games and that's with our roster as it is. Staal and others should be back sometime this month, I can see us playing .750 hockey for the rest of the season without too much trouble.

Yup another day and I hope the Leafs do play pissed off tonight. Zarack: sorry for calling you a prick. I'm going to be in downtown all day and night today. I've got a 10am class and then a meeting on campus at around 2pm. I'll work on my capstone project. I'll probably swim at the gym as well to kill some time (that should take about two hours). Then when the time is ready I'll slip on my Schenn jersey and walk down Yonge to Union station and the ACC.

How long is the walk from Dundas and Yonge to the ACC?

I'd give myself a good 15-20 minutes.

Man, Paul Martin -was- terrible last night on two of the Leafs' goals. He's been this way for a lot of the year, though. There hasn't been one game in the past month and a half that I haven't watched a guy blow right past him. If he's slow, he needs to adapt and learn to play better positionally. He's a nice guy in interviews, but he needs to step it up and play up to that 5 million dollar contract.

So did the Pens. In the same game. Leafs ought to be pissed. Or demoralized. We'll see which one in a few hours.

Personally, I'm hoping for more of this:

I mixture of both is what I think. They'll start out demoralized then get pissed later on.
