Thanks for beating the Leafs, Hawks. Now the Leafs only have one more game on hand over the Jets currently.

Would help if we won, but given our track record against Florida, I have reason to be concerned. I guess I'll see tomorrow night.

As a side note, Oduya looked really bad in the first period for the Hawks, but he played better as the game went on.

Haha, felt bad counting you guys out...I didn't want an odd number of teams. Think the Sabres are capable of making a push?

Haha, I figured. We did something similar last year, but we might be a bit too far out. I was just poking at the Leafs a bit.

Awesome OP, though.

They're not mad, they're just disappointed

"If I'm Ron Wilson, I go to Brian Burke and I say, 'give me one chance. Let me fire Allair.'"

LOL. Wilson can fire the goaltending coach?

Miller playing so much better these days.

I can see why the Canucks-GAF loved Hodgson so much. Really crisp passing, really aggressive along the board, and seems to have a nose for the puck around the goal. Looking really good so far. I can't remember the last time I saw the #19 hustle like tonight.

Hey guys, I think I know what Burke means by the team he wanted to build. It wasn't the Leafs he was talking about. It was the Marlies all along!

lol Boyes's goal being his first in 22 games...

Wonder how much of a pay cut he's gonna have to take this offseason if any NHL team is willing to sign him.

Maybe I'm a bad fan, I don't know... but I was really hoping the Sabres would get a top 3 pick instead of possibly squeaking into the playoffs and not doing any damage.

Awful year, but good core of young guys to build around (even more so now with Hodgson) and a Yakupov/Grigorenko/Galchenyuk would have helped that immensely. Just need to get rid of a few guys, make some smart trades (like Goose for a 1st) and we're good to go!

I'm from NYC, so I'm a Rangers fan by birth... but I've always loved the Sabres and consider them to be my team. Fun to see the Rags tearing it up, but I need my Sabres to shake things up a bit too!

If the Sabres manage to "squeak" in, it'd be the result of playing 2-3 months of great hockey to do it. They'd be a dangerous team.

Though more likely they squeak out 9th or 10th place, don't get the playoffs or a great draft pick.
