IMO Canucks fans over reacting, Kassian will be good and a type of player they need. Hodgson will be good as well but you can't add without losing, only Burke can do that :p
 
You watch. Hodgson has been killing it despite being fucked over regularly on ice-time, no respect from the coaching staff, but the kid has done nothing but produce now that his back issues have cleared up.

Michael Grabner 2.0, wait and see. He'll get a shitload of icetime and end up being the Sabres captain in 4 years.

Sabres fans, what line you think they should put Hodgson on? Vanek/Pominville? Stafford/Leino? Kaleta/Gerbe?

Thinking they might try him with Stafford/Leino first. Though not sure that Ennis with Kaleta/Gerbe makes much sense...
 
I'm hoping Gillis isn't done and he packages some players along with Kassian for someone BIG. But as of now, all of Vancouver is slitting their wrists.
 
How shitty is this for Hodgson, playing amazing as rookie with little ice time, on one of the best teams in the league, and you think you're going to have a good chance at the cup, then one day you're playing in Buffalo.
 
Maybe this trade would make sense in the future. Maybe. But it doesn't make sense to me right now. Can Kassian actually help us in the playoffs?

I don't think anyone reasonable ever put Hodgson's trade value close to Schneider's.
 
Hodgson will carry the sabres to the finals against the canucks then score every goal in every game (unassisted) sweeping the canucks while he wins the conn smythe while simultaneously breaking the record for most points in the playoffs just watch just watch
 
Hodgson found out about trade walking back to hotel, he tells TSN. Tanev told him first. I don't think the Canucks think highly of Hodgson as much as we do.

He also said that this team is more than capable of making the playoffs, which tells me that Wilson's job is on the line.

I posted this a page ago, now I'm scared. So mad. The only way this can end well is if Kassian plays with the Sedins in his first game and gets a Gordie Howe Hattrick to establish himself.

I agree with whoever said that at least it's Buffalo. I at least like them too.

Kassian is a big question mark. I'm not sure you'll even have him on your NHL roster in the playoffs. No clue what Vancouver's plans are. Figure they'll have to give him a shot on the main roster right away, right?
 
If Kassian can add that magic 'youthful aggression' to the Canucks' line up, I can seem him being very successful, especially in the playoffs. A guy like that would have been useful against Boston.

I don't recall him being particularly useful against our division rival in any of the games this season, but maybe he will be for you?

I think he's going to be a steal in the long run for you guys.

I've always liked him as a player. Hopefully you develop him well.
