They haven't played together in a while. Not expecting much but still happy to see them back together.

It could go either way. Losing Gaustad means we don't have our top shutdown center (though our record might show that it isn't really that big an issue) so the team might not be prepared to put someone in his place. If they're your top line (and I'd imagine they should be) it'll come down to which team adjusts/gets the rust off first.

I'm betting it'll be you guys.

Even with those 3 we'd still probably miss.

Please tell me this is from the San Jose Sun five years ago.

Our records are almost identical. However it turns out, we can't lose in regulations. Miller is a beast so I'm hoping for that RPG magic that we haven't seen all season.

Ducks were sloppy, tired, and wreckless last game because of this month's schedule.

Hey 19&21, did Galiardi really say he was elated to be traded and that SJ will treat him a lot better than the avs?

He did say that he wanted to go with when Winnik told him he was traded, but that has to do with Winnik and Gali being close friends and also Gali has been in Sacco's dog house all of this season, and most of last. Sacco never used him in a role that fits his play, and when Gali didn't produce (or even took a penalty after weeks and weeks of being scratched), he was just benched some more. Could easily want to go somewhere with a better coach for him, nothing wrong with that. Sacco is a cancer as you know. But as for not wanting to be here I can pretty much assure you that if we had a half decent coach he would've been more torn up about it. I don't blame him one bit for wanting a fresh start somewhere else.

As I've said before, regardless of how we finish out this season, Sacco has to be gone before next preseason starts or I will very likely not give a flying fuck about the Avs until he is shipped out. Our guys have enough talent to pull in some wins on their own merit, but the idea of Sacco having anything to do with the vast majority of those wins is comical. He doesn't know how to develop skills within our guys, he only knows how to jump into 'tough love' mode the second he doesn't like what he sees. No surprise that he doesn't like what he sees so often when he has such a shitty system. Our guys stopped playing for him a long time ago.

Makes sense. With Duchene, Stastny and essentially everyone producing much less than last year seems pretty disappointing. Even my friend has had the last straw with Sacco. I don't see anything happening unfortunately though. As you said before it seems everyone is complacent with them being "young" as the problem instead of treating them like players. I think it will be a while until they feel desperate enough to make the switch unfortunately. I think the players are pretty tiring of the coaching too.

There is enough unrest within our players that the management has to be aware of the general distaste they have for Sacco. Maybe mid-season or so, Duchene had a squabble with Sacco when his lack of production was called out. He apologized to Sacco a few days later, and tried to come back at Sacco's system full force because that's what good players have to do even when they're not happy with a coach. There are only two scenarios in which I see Sacco staying around, one is that there is no one else to replace him to which I say Roy couldn't be worse than Sacco is. I don't even want Roy to coach us given the option between him and someone who isn't Sacco, but what can you do? The second scenario is that we have a really strong finish to this season and management takes it as Sacco getting through to the guys. But really, we're a fucking dump and chase team with a pretty good amount of talented forwards. I don't know how it wasn't a red flag to management when we started out this season with the same DNC bullshit as last year and the year before that.

Ugh, fuck it. I'm off to not think about this anymore.

There used to be a devils fan, I remember him from the 2009 playoff series between the Devils and Canes. I think are last minute comeback broke his heart :(.

Yes. You are right. Man, fucking nhl-age sucks at remembering.

Paul Osiol and killedmybill or something along those lines <-- If I remember correctly.

Osorio is/was a Devils fan. Haven't seen him in forever, though.

Maybe, but there's so many teams that keep someone because they made the playoffs or just missed. I can't seem them getting rid of him unfortunately if you make the playoffs since that will be seen as "success" even though it's in spite of Sacco. And at least I haven't seen management really saying much about being disappointed in him so I don't see much pressure on him unless I missed that. (Which is possible)

Ahhh right, Osorio. So with the Coyotes fan we've officially had 30/30 pass through here.

Yep. It was me and one other dude, and we were both elated when they clinched their first (and possibly last) playoff birth. Who was that? He was a great poster.
Almost definitely shoplifter. Quality poster.

"I thought Zack, as the game went on, got more comfortable, and I gave him a little more ice time." - AV. You'd never hear him say that about Hodgson.
Only because when Hodgson played his first games with the Canucks, he wasn't under a microscope like Kassian is with people asking "SO HOW'D HE DO??". But that doesn't mean he wasn't occasionally rewarded with more ice time, all the same.

:lol Can't wait until we sign Jagr next year after he realizes the error of his ways. I hope we play each other so Malkin can stat pad as we beat you. I'm sure he's dying to play your goalies.

While your making your three wishes, how about wishing Jellohead Junior plays another game in his career.

Briere could have not come to a complete stop right in front of Vlasic while they're both skating hard trying to get to the puck.

Briere definitely put himself in a bad spot, but Vlasic still extended his arms and made a dangerous and unnecessary hit. Of course there was no penalty and I don't expect he'll get a suspension or even a fine, so from his own team's point of view he made a great play.

Problem was it was a quick, reactionary play. When the puck is in the corner like that EVERY defenseman in the league is gonna do the same thing. That play is all on Briere.
