I think Backstorm and Howard are the top two FA goalies this offseason.
Detroit isn't letting Howard go.

I've been sending that info via PM to everyone who has signed up. I must've missed you. It's on its way.

BAIL FOR NAIL.
Hooberdoo is going to tank in the NHL. Mark my words!

You didn't make the comparison, Dopey did. Follow the conversation.Wait what? I'm asking a question. I don't know much about Kadri, but people have been comparing him to Richards based on points progression, but that wasn't really what people were watching with Richards.
Couturier gets a lot of similar comparisons as a defensive specialist with some offensive upside.

Nonis is on Hockeycentral at Noon on Sportsnet.
BURKE QUESTIONS, BURKE QUESTIONS EVERYWHERE.

You can be sure it wasn't getting attributed to you because I brought up the Richards/Kadri comparison, you replied (agreeing), and I said "It's a...", not " That's a..."I made the Couts comparison. It was unclear as to which comparison you were talking about, and I was certainly COMMENTING on the original comparison so I wanted to make sure it wasn't getting attributed to me.
I followed just fine. You were ambiguous

How did you ever do well on the LSAT without the basic skill of deduction?
One scary ass line..... and some other dudes
Team minus Rick Nash embarrassed you 6 times last year.
Doesn't make the forward lines any more impressive. They people behind them are leaps and bounds better than the what the Flyers have.
Pens for the Cup. Mark my words.
They're certainly impressive enough to dismantle the Flyers so don't worry about it
Don't worry, I'll watch the games so I can tell you how that goes for them.
BEST TEAM IN 40 YEARS
*sniff"It's" could have easily referred to the Couts comparison... It wouldn't have been elegant writing (in my opinion) but I don't think it would have been grammatically incorrect. I'll grant you the Richards point, but I was more trying to cover my ass there.
I'm not doing the smiley...
PS We haven't done this in a while. MISSED YYYYYOOOOOUUUU!!!!
You can't be pointing to a picture menu like an illiterate savage in front of this woman! You can't. You retreat to a table. It's your second day here, and you've got three more days after that, and you know you shouldn't be in Mickey D's to begin with you should have gone to that café inside that yurt that you patronized yesterday so you need to at least be a good citizen of the world and push yourself to order in Russian. You locate the sandwich you want on your My First Menu and tap the letters into the app you downloaded that pronounces words for you in a speed you control. It's not called "Overenunciating Middle School Language Teacher," but it should be. A country song twangs from the ceiling, in English. Moms come bustling in from the cold with their children, who are all roly-poly in fur hoods and snowsuits. You put on your headphones. The geographically neutral woman's voice sounds out the unknown Cyrillic letters.
"McChicken."
Travel guru Rick Steves has written that "everybody should travel before they vote"; I wonder now if everyone should also have to do so before being a fan. How else to avoid the easy temptation to lambaste foreign players for being uncommunicative, or bewildered, or defiant, or odd, unless you've found yourself in a situation in which the locals probably perceive you as acting all of the above? With the next Winter Olympics set to be held in Sochi, Russia, a lot of North American athletes and media will know what this is like soon enough. We blast Alex Ovechkin for sitting out of last year's NHL All-Star Game, despite the fact that he was, at that point, suspended by the league. And we're narcissistic enough not to understand why maybe Ilya Kovalchuk might want to stick around an extra day or two to play in the All-Star Game for fans who have been going gaga over him in Russia for these past few months. Here's a hint: The KHL isn't what's causing that smell. It's the NHL that's been burning all this time.
Fantastic article at Grandland about the plight of Russian hockey players: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8831119/do-svidaniya-all-that
Well worth the read.
It's true, I can't believe this even if it is some hunchback Bruin.Using a dryer to wash clothes? It sounds too comedic to be true.
:lol I forgot about that guy whatever happened to him? Did he refuse to show his face once the Pens got man handled by a team with Bryz in net?BEST TEAM IN 40 YEARS

Wasn't the 3nigma or something like that?
He was pretty unlikable....
Pens 18-4-1 last 23 games. BEAST. Where's my Sid to show the haters that this is the best team in the last 40 years? I'd say best ever but I know a few people might have issue with that.
I haven't read anything about this. Confirmed? So Burke got fired because some Bell guy didn't like the way he talked. Now I know what the Ballard years felt like.
Hes the neogaf embodiment of errey and steigerwald

was probably a battle over his cell phone fees
Burke got the axe Wednesday morning because Bell boss George Cope, after months of campaigning for Burke’s dismissal, finally wore out the Rogers suits and Larry Tanenbaum. The deal is that Rogers and Bell will vote as a bloc on all matters, and Cope is the lead actor in this stage play. It took him a while but he got his way and Rogers had to roll with the tide.
Cope didn’t like Burke’s style, his manners, his profanity, his lifestyle. Some people don’t. Burke is a polarizing character, to be sure, and makes no apologies for that.
The Rogers people might not have been in love with Burke either but they weren’t prepared to axe him. Until Wednesday. It was like the decision-makers rolled out of bed, didn’t like their eggs Benedict and decided to fire the GM of the hockey team.
Don't forget grandiose promises that never panned out, such as a truculent, belligerent, pugnacious team. Or extending Ron Wilson after a two months of good hockey and then firing him a couple of months later. Or failing to make the playoffs 4 years in a row. Year after year of terrible performance, and trading two top quality draft picks for Kessel (I like Kessel btw).
Hah! Nonis has autonomy my ass! Not sure anyone can afford the Leafs now. Though maybe a rogers or bell buyout might happen?http://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs...oronto-maple-leafs-new-suits-lacked-class-cox
So yeah.
Except none of those reasons are why he got fired. He got fired because this Cope idiot didn't like Burke's manners and practically nagged everyone else for months to go along with him.
Bingo. I was pretty wary of the relationship in the beginning.Bob McCown claims he has info that there is going to be a war between Bell and Rogers soon, that they can't work with each other as they have different corporate cultures and are way too competitive with each other
I suspect it has to do with who gets to show which games on TV and radio

I still don't understand how Rogers and Bell were allowed to buy Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment together.
They are competitors.
Are they? I would say they're basically anti-competitive with eachother. Collusion and corruption abounds with the telecoms in Canada. When Rogers and Bell offer the exact same TV/phone/internet packages at the exact same price, it's pretty fucking fishy.
