Had to stop following a few hockey people (whose names I can't remember right now) due to the amount of what I'll call spam they've been tweeting. Not to say terrible or disparaging tweets, but it just annoyed me.

I just follow Darren Dreger, Bob McKenzie, and Pierre LeBrun. I think those guys are most reliable, and break news fast.

I'm just glad Salvador Dali is still getting work from beyond the grave.

I feel that the artwork captures the heartstrings, due to laughter. And the happy "no fucks given" face on Seguin is quite spot on. /artcritic

My following page was murdered after the lockout ended.

I wouldn't - kadri hasn't had the chance the shine
Future Mike Richards. Isn't that what you said?

I would be happy with Kadri, Bozak and a 2nd. But I don't think Nonis would pay that price. Especially since Gillis will become more desperate to move Luongo as the season goes on if there are truly no other interested teams.

Does Kadri have the defensive chops Richards did? Richards was NEVER really projected to be a big points guy. You have to remember he was the captain of that insane WJC team. He was seen as a leader and a Selke-esque player. I've never heard that about Kadri.

Couturier on the other hand...... ::swoon::

I can see it now.

"Leafs and Canucks make a trade.. stay tuned"

"Leafs acquire.. working to get details"

"Leafs acquire Cory Schneider."

Kadri's small, but big where it counts!

It's a horrible comparison.

Is Kadri any good at faceoffs? Would he basically have to play on the wing?

Wait what? I'm asking a question. I don't know much about Kadri, but people have been comparing him to Richards based on points progression, but that wasn't really what people were watching with Richards.

Couturier gets a lot of similar comparisons as a defensive specialist with some offensive upside.

How many of the players are actually going to read the CBA stuff they are sent before voting? They should just let them vote now and get it done with, they are voting via cell phone app

Seriously. I seriously doubt anyone will read the damn thing. Just sign it. They trust Fehr after all.

Flyers... TSN has an article up on it now too.

So if Vancouver "broke" Luongo, do we think Philly can turn him into Gomer Pile?

"THIS IS MY MASK! THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT, BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!"

How could the Flyers even afford both Lou and Bryz? I have little hope of Bryz playing better this year but I dont think adding Lou to the mix would help the situation much. I guess they could try to trade Bryz, but then you know that Lou would suck and Bryz would be great where ever they sent him.

Flyers are fine cap-wise for the upcoming year, and potentially the year after. The issue arises when G gets his raise.

Kadri is a high skill player who plays a passable defensive game. Dangerous on the PP. He's someone who would probably do very well if paired with a couple of snipers since he has great vision and offensive instincts, but he will probably never be a player who can carry a line/team.

Negotiation...

Plus, it's not like Toronto's back is to the wall here; playoff expectations are virtually nil. They can test out Reimer/Scrivens/Rynnas this season and wait for the off-season to make a move for a goaltender if the price now is too high.

Vancouver, I think, has to push for a deal now. If Schneider starts the season and has a run of bad games, how long until Luongo is put back in net? And if Luongo plays quite well, what then? Two goalies on long deals taking up close to 1/6th of your 2013/14 cap?

Bozak plus a pick would, to bones the Leafs fan, seem to be a fair trade. Vancouver gets a decent stand-in for Kesler and a pick, Toronto (who has to assume massive risk with Luongo's contract) gets the goalie they need and clears space to test out Kadri and Colborne.

Stop shitting on my team. Start shitting on my finger.
Aidan, will you give us info on link&times&info for draft once the league is full or when? :p

Bryz wasn't the best but you guys made it to the conference finals!!! Wtf haha

I don't mind keeping Bryz for this year, but I'd want Homer to shop around this summer for someone else w/ the option to buy Bryz out floating around.

Most of the Flyers fans here have been pretty anti-Lu trade.

I guess you could say the Flyers did win a round with Bryz last year but MAF had one of the worst series in playoff history for that to happen. Bryz played poorly against the Pens and was bad against the Devils.

He was poor against the Pens but was actually good against the Devils. Better than Brodeur. The problem was the complete inability of the defense to move the puck out of the zone after the first game.

Because his contract is so bad. If the Canucks buy him out and he's available this off season as a FA and Bryzgalov has another crappy season, then I'd be all for the Flyers signing him for 4 years $20m. The days of giving old players long-ass contracts are over, at least for smart owners and GMs.

Poor defensive game, capped off with just bad goaltending. It was really just a matter of who could outscore who.

I barely remember that series, but it was fun to watch purely because of the "what the fuck" factor.

Lines the Rangers have been skating with in their "informal" practice:

Rick Nash, Brad Richards, Marian Gaborik
Carl Hagelin, Derek Stepan, Ryan Callahan
Chris Kreider, Brian Boyle, Taylor Pyatt
Arron Asham, Jeff Halpern, Mike Rupp

I would say Bryz was bad against the Devils was because I felt like he gave up some really soft goals at bad times, but you are right that the Flyers D was terrible and stuck in their own zone the whole series. I hope that if Bryz does suck again this year that they buy him out and get someone better then Lou in the offseason.

I think Backstorm and Howard are the top two FA goalies this offseason.
