I hate that they don't have what it takes to finish bottom 5. I'm confident that they'll get top 10, though, but for that to happen they HAVE to miss the playoffs. I hope they won't disappoint me.
I rather live a life of perpetual mediocrity where you always just barely get into the playoffs then suck for a couple years at the chance of a team that is favoured in the playoffs.
For the amount of times a team has rebuilt successfully, there's more then double that haven't.

This is his first year as Captain so I'm giving him a pass for now, if you actually listen to some of interviews instead of being a prick you'd see that he actually gives a rats ass about this team. I'm reaching a boiling point. I'm usually never pissed off about The Habs.. But this time it's different.
It's okay to be mad, Creeper. You should be. It's a travesty for a team to go like 20-5 and then flip that ratio around over the next 25 games. It's an embarrassment, and how Therrien has held onto his job over the past month is beyond me. Obviously, the team has a lot of issues and needs a LOT of help beyond just the head coach, but that's where it has to start. If nothing changes except Therrien being replaced, I would expect a fairly notable improvement from the team.

This is such old time hockey bullshit rhetoric speaking. Just because he's not out there trying to get 8 hits a game doesn't make him a floater, he's an elite scorer who has also developed into a fantastic two way player. Only 3 other players in the entire league have scored more goals than him in the last 3 years, only 1 more player has scored more points when the game is tied or there is less than 10 minutes left. I can take anyone seriously who calls him an empty net specialist. Do people forget he also missed all of summer with rehab and is still on pace for almost 40 goals?
