Leafs-AGE what do you guys think about Cody Fransson? He just signed for my team here in Sweden and from the looks of it, for me it seems like a great signing. We need a big defensively good defender and one that can play Power Play but at the time we only have space for one in the roster without phasing out a young guy and he seems to fit both descriptions. Apparently he´s not quite at NHL level yet but I think he will do fine in SEL. If we were allowed to sign lockout players I would prefer someone else but we can´t and he seems like good option since he doesn´t have an NHL contract.

He seemed pretty decent when he played on the blue-line.. we have other players who can bring the same skills to the table as he does so his ice-time suffered a lot.

I think he's a NHL capable defender.. just not in the right situation just yet.

So there's talk the NHL wants to bring in replacement players in November if things don't get settled by then ? It comes from Bill Watters so I don't even think this is very legit but can they even do that ? It's not a strike, players technically want to play.

Would anyone here even watch scabs play in the NHL ?

Just two weeks after the Games, the week of Aug. 20-26, NBC Sports Network hit an all-time ratings low, dating to 2003 when the channel then known as Outdoor Life Network first became Nielsen rated. During that week in August, it averaged 71,000 prime-time viewers, which included a live Friday night MLS game (Philadelphia vs. Real Salt Lake) that drew just 40,000 viewers.

To put that in some context, the NBC Sports Network’s viewer average that week was similar to the prime-time audiences for cable channels like ESPNews, Centric (which is the former BET on Jazz) and Discovery Fit & Health.

Same goes for Holtby with the Bears, if he's anything like he was at the end of last season and PO's. I'm also interested in seeing Girgensons play for the Amerks, I think he was a draft steal so I'm curious to see how that plays out.

As a Rangers fan I'm psyched to see Kreider but the Whale are one of the teams getting the least out of this really.
