Everything I know about the exotic city of Winnipeg is from the Office. How is the concierge there? Concierge Marie right?

I met some guys from Norway earlier this semester and we were hanging out one time, I asked them what they did the weekend before. Winnipeg, for reference, is like three hours away. A bit over half the distance to the Twin Cities, for example.

"Oh we went up to Winnipeg."
"Oh? How was it?"
"It was shitty. Canada sucks."

I just shrugged and moved on.

AGally is fucking beasting this past month, goddamn. Another 3 points, and only 3 points away from a new career high and has played 13 games less than it took him to achieve that. 25 goals is a certainty, but the way he's going he might flirt with 30. He's on pace for 28/26/54, but that's based on 67 games, not his hot streak of the past 10 or so. Only 2 goals away from surpassing Captain Floater for most goals on the team. What a great final few months of the season for our best forward.

Friedman intimated that Bergevin could have dealt AGally at the deadline and still might in the off-season. I'd quit watching this team until Bergevin is fired if that were to happen. Yes, let's trade away our 22 year old best player. Good job, good effort, Bergevin.

America will never ever vote for a socialist. Hillary vs Trump will be the best reality TV show of all time

It's going to be Sanders or Biden. The FBI is going to recommend that she be indicted over her mishandling of classified information before the convention. The DOJ will stonewall until next year, but the damage will be done.

I was trying to figure out what "Quebec porn" even is. Judging by this thread, I decided that it's probably just videos of the Habs losing.

Fiancee asked me last night a bunch of survey questions she found on facebook, trying to see how cute I'd get. One of the questions was "What would you do if you got $1000 right now?"

Me: "Take you on a trip to Florida for a weekend."
Her: "Oh wow that's so cute."
Me: "And get tickets to Panthers and Lightning games."
Her: "So you only want to go to Florida to watch hockey?"
Me: "Well it's going to be warmer there than it is here, might as well watch hockey while we're down there."

Can't win 'em all fellas.

I mean those tickets will only be like $50 total anyway so

There's something about Bernie Sanders I don't like. He seems like he's fake or hiding something. I don't trust him.

For me he feels like a meme candidate. I listen to him speak, to him debate and he isn't good at either. He hasn't been vetted against GOP attacks and wants to unilaterally disarm against their spending arm. He also isn't raising money to help down ticket Dems banking on a "revolution" that will magically produce candidates and funding to counter the GOP. That same "revolution" isn't turning out people like a wave election and most importantly he is losing the Obama coalition.

I like some of Sander's ideas and am happy that the country is being more receptive of those things, but Sanders IMO isn't someone equipped to take on the GOP machine.

He's kind of a Trumpian lunatic, on the opposite side of the spectrum. "Wall Street will pay for it" is not all that much different than "Mexico will pay for it."

Ducks, I know I said some shit earlier this year. I know I also said that we'd be fucked later in the year when we played you. Beauchemin really wants a playoff spot. Take a dive for Beauchemin. We've done our part this season against the Kings. Pls.

I'm at the point where at least with Bernie there's a chance that something can change. With Hillary, I don't see things changing any more than things have during Obama's tenure, which is to say very little will change. I also don't trust her to keep us out of wars. I just see Hillary as a lateral move from Obama's tenure and that doesn't exactly get my juices flowing. Nobody's gonna get much done with the Republicans' tomfoolery, but at least there's a chance with Bernie, however small it is.

why are you guys sad for a cheater? He couldn't play in the NHL and cheated to keep up, taking the spot of someone who actually deserved it

Quote from Bergevin when he traded Tinordi, "I have some reason I can’t really tell you why but if I could you could probably understand.”

Ohhhhhhh now it all makes sense

You did the right thing Bergevin

I wonder if he'll claim it was asthma medication or something. The Carter Ashton Special.

I would disagree things have changed very little in Obama's tenure. We are a fundamentally different country than when he took office. I think people forget how disastrous Bush was and how much equity he pissed away in 8 years. Obama's term has largely rebounded from the deficit that Bush left us. To me building on his foundation is what is reassuring rather than a candidate who I don't think can properly engage the GOP on all fronts for the election. The Senate is in play, and a potential electorate shift with Trump as as the GOP nominee. For me winning this election means more than a idealist who isn't putting up numbers similar to Obama.

As far as foreign policy goes we are in an age with Russia and China are exhibiting expansionist tendencies and Syria being a failed state for at least a decade threatening not only regional stability in the ME, but also Europe. The EU has proven itself to be largely useless dealing with crisis. Turning the US to an isolationist state is not in our best interests with the world economy still linked to ours. We need a better and proactive foreign policy. We need to be smarter than half assed interventions where support is pulled after the shooting conflict ends. The Iranian deal is a good start, we need to be more involved not less.
