'On pace' is a stupid thing that people hype themselves up about when their scrub prospect scores 4 goals in his first NHL game.
Radulov is playing well, but let's wait and see where he is near the end of the season, people were pretty excited about Semin early on too. Gallagher has been my favourite since we drafted him, you don't have to tell me, if you were going to axe anyone who doesn't compete like he does well I'd love to see who you've got left on the team.
Patches still has an elite wrist shot, watch how hard it is for goalies to pick it up, he needs to hit the fucking net though.
Possible 4th line demotion for fucking up coverage in OT that lead to the Tarasenko winner. Doubt he stays there long unless he's really in the doghouse. It just strikes me that Torts is pivoting from "calm and steady" to instilling urgency in player responses. Typical "send a message" sort of thing.

I'm not even an massive Patches fan, but saying we need to "dump" a 30 goal scorer making $4.5 M is idiotic. You'll never win that trade so why even bring it up.
This is pretty accurate, and I'd also add that he disappears in the playoffs and his work ethic seems lousy. What happened to the guy who rehabbed from an almost broken neck? I haven't seen that guy in a long time. It's bad when your coach calls you out publicly in the World Cup of all things.

To me, it's only a story if he's scratched. The temporary 4th line demotions happen all the time and typically don't last. But yeah, he fucked up coverage on Tarasenko and was too slow on a line change that led to an OT goal in LA. Columbus has a reputation as a country club team and, frankly, the history supports that reputation.
Oh, he's definitely due for one of his scoring streaks, so I wouldn't doubt it. But it won't change how I feel about him when I watch him, as bask succinctly summarized.

Well generally she's had a +4 in the popular vote on average, so any single poll that is five points away from that probably isn't great.
Specifically Rasmussen and the LA times polls were way outside what everyone else was saying, but I think even they herded in in the last day or so

The white Team Canada jersey I ordered for $42 arrived yesterday, via UPS. They left it in-between my doors.
I opened it up and inspected it. There were a few loose threads stuck to it via static, but it looks fine and really nice. I could live with a blemish for that price, though.
The Leafs 2015 one arrived today, without me knowing it'd even shipped. It had the same, but also seems to have a bit of a discoloration or dirt on the top right-hand corner of the logo. It looks a bit brown. The white part that goes around the back of the neck doesn't sit up on a hangar, but I guess that's just the way it was packaged for however long.
It bugs me, but I can't complain given it was clearance and $45. I'll try to wipe it off with water.
Tempted to get the back of my other jersey stitched with Matthews for $60. Getting these done feels like a waste of money, though.

I read an article from Sam Wang yesterday that speculated that because he puts an uncertainty value with every poll his model has become massively biased against the front runner.
Seems weird to have a polling model with the built in assumption that they're all wrong.
