When you have a pretty strict banning policy, it is bound to create a backlash. GAF bans people all the time (and I have been banned many times) but it creates a higher level of discourse that I appreciate such that I'm still here. So I'm not surprised to see lots of trolls elsewhere.

It is just, as Dastardly said, kind of pathetic. I mean I'd be lying if I said I didn't have issues with aspects of this forum, but it's just a forum.
Then again people get really mad about video games, sports, and other similarly trivial things so I probably shouldn't be surprised.

I mean communities like that are made up of people who purely have an axe to grind, clearly. Which speaks to why they've all likely been banned from here. There's plenty of shit that I don't like about GAF and the way things are ran but if I was ever permabanned I'd probably just move the fuck on with my life I dunno.
