i'm not scout or expert on rookies, but i'm a little confused as to how a guy like Mete can go so low under the radar that he ends up getting picked in the 4th round... He looks NHL ready at 19 and dominated the OHL last year, did all of this happen over night? did he get an XP boost from a can of Mtn Dew or something?

putting aside whether I actually think this is a good strategy or not (spoiler: I don't), it's become pretty clear to me that Mark Hunter thinks he needs to find Colton Parayko 2.0 and will keep drafting towering D-men while ignoring players with skill until that diamond in the rough emerges.

Think about it this way. The Habs selected William Bitten in the 3rd round, instead of Mete. The fact that he fell to the 4th round is a condemnation of all teams.

Except for Karlsson, all Sens 1st round defence prospects have flamed out(Cowen, Ceci) and were called up too soon.
I'm OK with leaving him in the AHL for the duration of his ELC. Don't need another rushed prospect bombing.
