If we're still discussing our dinners, I'm at a baby shower BBQ with like 30 Kings fans in Torrance and it is actually quite pleasant because they are capable of talking hockey. They don't seem to be big Kesler fans, and they don't feel bad about Hertl or Vlasic. Also, they are subconsciously very jealous of the Ducks.

Hmm...did not know this. Kessel RARELY uses a slapper. Not sure if he's not confident with the accuracy. His wrist/snap shot is his bread and butter and one of the best in the league. Takes awhile for it to get going though...I recall that one year where it took a long time for him to get his first goal, but after that, it was all gravy.

A hardest shot competition isn't really the best place to rate anyone.

Like Kuro said, he rarely goes for the slapshot. If he does, he's really desperate or confident as hell.

Most of Stamkos' highlights and goals I see are off the one timer. Jesus. That guy is frighteningly good with it. I haven't seen him a lot in shoot outs and I've only seen one breakaway where he scored, but it was him out deking the goalie.

Mikko Koivu has a lethal backhand. Mostly used in the shootout but other places too.
