Hamhuis could get us a first at the deadline. He's worth less right now.
Then we take Noah, and I'll be almost equally as happy.
Hamhuis can do two things that Bieksa can't:
1) Net a good return
2) lead the drive for 9th
In their mind they're not ready to dismantle the team and trading Hamhuis would be a big move toward that.
Either way, i don't think we can lose with either.

At the 2016 deadline? Not necessarily. Hamhuis is no spring chicken. If his performance drops, it doesn't matter when you trade him, he'll get less.
Marner's ceiling is really damn high though, and defencemen 40-50% of the time in the top 5, forwards around 20-30%.

predicts a .67 ppg for Marner if he was to play next year, .50 for Strome
I'm surprised he settled for that with the ego he appears to have. Probably realizes, it might be his only chance to be a head again some day.

Like wow... exhibit B (last page) is a terrible exhibit. Do they honestly think that by sending that email, it removes the conflict of interest?
They didn't show an e-mail with the city saying "sure thing, no problem! Conflict of interest is waived!"
