Not to mention, don't the Pens have one of the easiest travel schedules in the league anyway? They really have no reason to complain about having a few back to backs more than the rest of the league.
That goes for the metro in general.

Why the hell would you travel all the way to Vegas to watch your hockey team take on a garbage team headlined by Jason Garisson?
Canadian attendance at Arizona games is significant. Vegas will get the same.I work with people who fly to Phoenix to see hockey games. It's a real thing that happens.
AROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
West coast teams rack up insane travel mileage. They can only dream of having those short hop trips as all those teams in the ET timezone. That goes for the metro in general.
Hayes: "Eberle for Strome, one for one, straight-up"
Noodles: "it's a hockey deal"

Vegas actually has a pretty robust suburban sprawl and one of the most resilient housing markets. Just need to sell the locals on it.
Apparently they've done a good job with their season ticket sales. The big question is how long will it last if it's an expansion team that struggles for a decade.Vegas actually has a pretty robust suburban sprawl and one of the most resilient housing markets. Just need to sell the locals on it.

You people are spot on about snowbirds checking in on their teams in Vegas. Arizona is a home game for the Wings. I expect the same in Vegas.
@PierreVLeBrun: Hearing that Radulov's latest contract ask was six years at $7 M per season. No way Habs do that...

Yeah, but all expansion to the south hasn't been a failure. Nashville, San Jose, Dallas have all been pretty good additions. Winning helps. Vegas doesn't have a great track record for pro sport teams so if these serious attempts by the NHL and NFL don't work, it never will. I think it will.Arizona is a failure of an organization
Lol after one 65 point season.

Habs are starving for offence as it is, though. They can't seriously think Price will carry the team by himself indefinitely.

Bergevin said today to not expect Drouin starting the season at center, indicating he's still very aware of their need for a top C.
Another odd quirk about the Rangers' schedule: every NHL team is supposed to play in every NHL city at least once in the season, but this year the Rangers will NOT play a game in Buffalo. The only "road" game the Rangers have against Buffalo this season will be played in Queens.
lol I am listening to this and I can't believe Hayes is the one that's making sense.
Damn.Dreger: "There are whispers that it's going to be $14 million for Connor McDavid." #Oilers
Louis Jean said the Leafs are interested in Nate Schmidt.
Seems we've been linked to every defenseman in relation to the expansion draft.

Damn.
Obviously not, he deserves to be the highest paid player but there has to be a limit in the cap world. How do you build a championship team when one part is getting $14M? There will have to be value in a lot of other spots. Can the Oilers really say no?

If Pittsburgh can do it with the Crosby and Malkin contracts, then Edmonton can do it with McDavid and Draisaitl. But man, one monster contract like that is going to make it very difficult. This is why poor value contracts like Eberle needed to go.

Crosby + Malkin cap hit is 18.2
"hey Draisatl you ok making 4M we gotta give Connor 14, sorry bud"
Or maybe... "hey Connor, you ok making 11M so we can give Draisatl 7?"Crosby + Malkin cap hit is 18.2

Bargainbin actually got a bargain. Schlemko for a 2019 fifth is a steal. He can play both LD and RD, plus he's pretty underrated. Solid depth D-man. I like it.
Lol the NHL is considering giving a minor penalty to a team if they fail an offside coaches challenge, according to Friedman.
