Have one of the worst seasons in history and don't even get a top 3 pick out of it, brutal.

Feel bad for Vegas though, for some reason I thought they were guaranteed a top 3 pick.

Leafs were actually in a lot of games last season and were extra shit cause of putrid goaltending. At least with all their "deliberate" tanking they were still only 1 point worse than the next team. Colorado "not trying to tank" ices one of the worst teams in over 30 years. Please.

Leafs finished 27th that year and they had fewer points than the following year when they finished 30th. :lol

I also just find it funny that you won't find one mention of intentionally tanking from any of the avs fans around here. I guess we're all just delusional homers with white and blue uniforms too.

Again, though, what you said before was wrong. Put deliberate in quotes but it doesn't change the fact. Complain about putrid goaltending but ignore that the Leafs org traded away their one decent goalie. Commit to "rebuild" but forget that Leafs fans had proudly used the word "tank"!

I'm not slighting Leafs management. They were terrible for years, incidentally, and traded away 1st rounders. Finally they came to Jesus, made the tough but smart decisions, and quickly reaped the rewards of strong drafts and excellent luck. I just find any attempt at revisionism kinda strange.

Tanking is part of the rebuild process.

That said, what Buffalo and Arizona were up to in 2015 went beyond tanking.

Shit sucks and all but it's still a bad draft. Getting kicked while your down isn't fun but at least the kick is just a slight tap.
