I don't want this game to end :,(

Not to derail, but; whats another good jrpg to get after this? I love this, and I love the Mother series. And Pokemon and Zelda. Is Xenoblade worth the money?? Fuck it maybe I'll finish Tales of Vesparia... Or start Neir... Uwagh.......

edit: Oh and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... Is Disgaeia good?? What's a good starter for that series? God I just broke up with my girlfriend and now I'm in full panic-mode for video games...

Breakups are rough. JRPGs are definitely a good remedy. I hear great things about Xenoblade, so that should last you for a while. But finish Ni No Kuni first. There is so much content, it's ridiculous. This game will keep you distracted for a while.

Also, if you haven't played Mother 3, go do that immediately.

Beat the game during the PS4 press conference. Nice use of my time.

I wish I had done the same.

Blue Dragon would be my suggestion.

Man, I am getting my ass absolutely handed to me by the enemies after the Golden Grove. WTF!

I died about 5 times after dying maybe twice the entire time until now. Made it to Al Mamoon finally..

2 more questions, as I'm looking to finally finish this up this weekend:

-is there a list of all the places you need to visit to get that particular trophy? I think I may have missed one or two hidden caves or forests.
-what's the best and least time-consuming way to grind for the War God's Ax materials?

yea, they're pretty strong when you travel there at first. should be easier with near gear in town.

Collecting Kaleistones is making me hate this game. A few hours and tons of Bedraggles and I still only have 2 (which I had from a sidequest). All I get are meteorite fragments. I tried the stealing trick but I cant get a golden glim to appear no matter what. Annoying as fuq.

SO,
I finished all the quests available and I'm going to finish the game. guess there are a lot of quests in the post-game since I only got 81% in the report.

That's weird... I got 9 in an hour. I didn't do the trick.... maybe keep trying? I'm sorry you're having issues.

Most of them stem from quest 131. I am down to just needing to max out (50/50) one of my familiars and creating about 15 more alchemy items.

I NEED help with a sidequest please:
In the first town a catperson wants 2 herbs and 2 vials of water but I've searched the world map and couldn't find anything. Wher can i find the items it requested?

- No. It should just be every major area, the last one to finish that quest is a forest that is only available post-game.

Edit: I was wrong, here is a list
- Kaleidostones - Bedraggles in Glittering Grotto (near the end)
- Scrolls of Truth - Honky Tonkers in Tombstone Trail (in the cave)

Start a battle with them (fight every battle in the area), cast Thunderstorm, pulse anyone left alive, hope for a gold glim for Swaine, if not just steal. You should have 5 of each in under 2-3 hours.

Edit: I would recommend starting with Kaleidostones as Dragamuffins have a rare chance of giving a Scroll of Truth (I only got one while I was there, but that's one less to get while at Tombstone Trail).

On the world map, if you wander around you will find sparkling spots, in fact there's one just North East of town. They will give you the items you require.

Cool, thanks, hswbaz. I fought like about 10 Honky-Tonkers but no good drops :( Guess I know how I'm spending my Sunday afternoon. I have 2 of those kaleidostones already from one of the quests at least.

I got grudge sucked!
I'm now in the
Autumia of the past- the graveyard ghosty place
. My characters are mid 30s my main familiars are 2nd evol but I've got a couple that just made the final form. I really enjoy this game. I don't know why some people in the media act like they can't be bothered with it, after supposedly being excited for it.

Its turned out exactly like I thought it would.

I ordered this from Amazon earlier this week and it should be here tomorrow afternoon. I finished up Okami HD tonight, so I'm probably going to jump right into this next. I'm really looking forward to playing it.

Just beat the game.
Loved it.

It has flaws, but you tell that this wasn't a half-assed product. An insane amount of effort went into this game and it shows.
Thanks Level5/

EDIT- also, I think I speak for everyone when I say that this game desperately needs a Complete works/ Art Book. And commentary with studio Ghibli.

Noob question, but do I have to equip the Merritts I redeem? I got the one to make the boat go faster and it doesn't seem faster.

Just wrapped up most of the post game stuff tonight! Only dabbled in the
Casino and haven't beaten Rank S at the Solesseum, but the Guardian of Worlds stuff was surprisingly a breeze!
:D -- Think I'm going to call it good here.

This was one of the first RPG's in a while that I didn't feel the need to look anything up online to figure stuff out. I actually found myself referring to the Wizard's Companion more often than not, instead. I really enjoyed Horace's riddles, and reading the different stories.

If I had one tiny, nit-picky complaint, it'd be that I wish there were more animated Ghibli cutscenes. They're so sparse. Other than that, I loved it!

Man this game is giving me that ye olde jRPG feel I've had in my younger years. I'm playing on normal and while the game is easy atm, everything about it is fun, bonus points for having a story that interests me, been a long time since a Japanese RPG's story really captivated me.
I'm on my way to the 2nd city/town now. Mitey's my fav. Familiar, I love the expression he makes when I buff his attack stat with chocolate, so friggin' adorable X3.

One thing I applaud the devs on though is weaker enemies FLEEING from you on the world map (at least), saves time and really lets one just...roam around and listen to that beautiful world map theme.

platoon is addicting

I didnt try any of the casino games yet hehe...I went there, read the long instructions for Platoon but then I had to quit, might try it this weekend.

Finally made it to Peridia...I am clocking in at 45 hours now and level 44/45 with the main 3 characters...also about Peridia
the fight with the Queen was so damn annoying and fun at the same time hehe...poison was a pain and I was down to Oliver only with a little bit of health on him and on the Queen, out of mana potions so I decided to go melee on the ghost with good old Mitey,I managed a lucky counter attack hit that just barely gave me time to land the killing blow,it was down to one blow on either side, that was a tense moment lol...now I got the sidequest also to level the Jabber something 10 levels, not sure I will do that

At this point though I just want to just keep going with the main story,I will never try and platinum this game anyway...

I've just got the
dragon
and was wondering what to do next? I'm around level 38 and played for 25+ hours.

I've not played Xenoblade, but this by far is my favourite console RPG this generation.

They are very difference but Xenoblade hook me earlier (3 hours in) and keep me playing longer(as in i played Xenoblade for a longer period everyday compare to Ni no kuni where i play less hour per day and had stop for a day )

Enjoy this game, finish it and then play Xenoblade.
JRPG on consoles are not dead, they are very much alive and kicking !

Bloodborne is shit
Something is seriously wrong with the Glim Reaper trophy.

Oliver is lvl 99, I finished the game several hours ago, completed S rank in the coliseum etc, couldnt even tell you how many hours ago I fought my 1000th battle.

And in all that time you mean to tell me I haven't picked up 2000 glims?

mh, how am I supposed to farm the Tokocold or w/e are called in the last dungeon?
I saw a video and this faggot got 3 of them in 6 mins, I didn't get a single one in 30 mins. do they even fucking spawn.

It took me well into end-game and familiar reaping to get the glim trophy. I thought something was wrong too, but I guess in hindsight, it was about right.

In the last half circle area before bosses, use veil, run up and down. It just depends on luck, unfortunately.

this game is good but there are a couple of things which really need to be addressed. the stupid respawning enemies. i go down one corridor and then turn around and the stupid enemies are there again.

even tho the battles arent random, early on and with thin corridors they might as well be.

also constantly having to level up is annoying. in some ways this game is fantastic but some small jrpg elements really hurt it for me.

I don't think you have to rely on being on a high level to advance through the game, it just makes battles easier. Heck I actually did the first Bounty mission while at a low level and actually beat it lol.

Some people prefer a challenge. I find the game exponentially more fun when I'm so over-leveled that I can just bulldoze through anything. If you're in the same boat, catch a Dinoceros as soon as you can.
