From reading other posts, I realize that Route C and onwards is fascinating in that it tends to either get people really into the game if they weren't particularly feeling Route A/B, or gets people who already love it really into the game.
The way I ended up looking at it was that route A is pretext, route B is context, and route C is the real game.
I mean, after finishing route A I had a few reservations regarding pacing and events happening, and then route B happened and I stopped thinking that (because I got what they were going for) and route C downright floored me.
