That's my entire point: it feels more like we're getting Revengeance 2 doing bad Ninja Gaiden cosplay. You can't just call something Ninja Gaiden and then say "see, we're giving you what you want!".

Also, calling it now: the Hayabusa bits from the trailer will in total be, like, one introductory chapter in the entire game.

As a NG franchise fan I am beyond grateful to get a NG4. Plus the NG2 black we got and the side scroller as well. 3 games in one year? That’s a blessing.

This is why devs don’t revisit franchises that didn’t hit some commercial quota or success after the NG3 bomb. I’d rather get games as good as Revengance than get no new NG at all.
