The gameplay looks nuts, dude, holy *shit*. Literally 3RE 3.0, mixed with PTG insanity. The boss designs all look awesome so far, and multiple weapons!!! At least for Yakumo from the looks of things; we'll see if TN are hiding more weapons for Ryu in the final game. Who the hell is the new lady???

I'm maining the hell out of that giant drill staff when we get it, lmao. As a 16 year NG veteran, we are absolutely feasting on Ninja Gaiden content this year. Year of the freaking Ninja dude.

okay i turned it off. i cant watch anymore... ill pick up the bits in the coming threads. just too much mediocre stuff.

Good, i'm tired of that over-the-shoulder God of War shit.
Nobody wants an over the shoulder camera in NG.
ironically that's exactly what it reminded me of when the original God of War had the camera pans out.
That's not NG

What's the point of a new protagonist?

Otherwise looks solid and has the requisite neon aesthetic.

I'm trying to temper my excitement by reminding myself how how all-over-the-place Platinum's output is.

I'm thinking of it as well. More concerning is Ryu has one weapon only so if I'm goin to guess, it will be 90% new guy 10 % Ryu in terms of content .

Ninja Gaiden is one of my favorite series so I am there. So far, the environments look a little bit underwhelming though. Where are the walls to run on? No verticality?

Third person action games are failing at this lately. DMCV comes to mind.

20 years ago we were wall running and jumping down stairs flights in Ninja Gaiden. Otogi had us smashing enemies 50 yards back, DBZ style and crashing through pieces of the environment.

Why, in 2025, are we duking it out in wide empty arenas?

Looks promising. I would love a new (good, obviously) Ninja Gaiden. I just hope they have the balls to give us a challenging game. Ninja Dogs need not apply.

It might've just been for the trailer purposes, but this seemed oddly insistent on battle arenas as the sole focus. None of the platforming or light adventuring to be found anywhere. Hopefully they haven't ditched that, because that's one of the big things that set Ninja Gaiden apart as an overall experience.

Also, is this running on UE5? Might be a PS5 Pro rather than a PC pickup for me if that's the case.

I will get this Day one btw. New guy looks cool and gameplay seems solid. Just kinda sucks Ryu takes a backseat

They cynical part of me (see: every part) makes me think this decision is Team Ninja hedging their bets since this is a joint collaboration. Then again, they are calling this Ninja Gaiden 4.

I think if they just gave this new moveset and play style to Ryu it would piss off fans.

Instead they put it on a new character to go over the top platinum style but then leave ryu grounded and weighty.

It's a nice compromise.

Looks like this will deliver the good for fans of the series! A little too sweaty for me. People who think From games are too hard need only be pointed in the direction of the Ninja Gaiden 3D series. Shit is too much for me, but I can tell it's very well crafted.

Now if there is new game plus or chapter challenge/ mission select that I can main Ryu for the whole game, I'll take the consolation prize.

Side note but I am going to use the other skin for Yakumo

Maybe it's just me, but I would love to see a Bayonetta/Ninja Gaiden collaboration from Platinum games.
They'd have to work with SEGA to make it happen, but I can dream

Guys, I've been waiting on a new NG game for more than a friggin' decade but after watching the latest gameplay video...I just don't know, the super-fast and floaty/aerial gameplay (can't explain it better, sorry) reminds me of Friggin' NG3 and that's not a good thing for me.

Guess I'll have to play it first but, I'd hate to get burnt AGAIN after NG3...

The OG NG2 is still the best character action game in existence with infinite replay value and I'm afraid that nothing will come close ever again.

I'd personally prefer a crossover with DMC involving Capcom & Sega. But both are good. I also still want Rising Revengeance 2: Raiden's Grey Fox Awakening.

The first trailer for this game was quite concerning with all the typical Platinum non-combat nonsense but this looks somewhat better if a bit sparse and lacking in level design.
