What's wrong with it?Bit disappointed to be honest.
It's ok. Very simple though.
What's wrong with it?
I enjoyed what I played on the demo but am not sure if its Metroidvania or how long it is?
I would say it is somewhat reminiscent of the original Castlevania and Castlevania 3. They're all pretty linear, have some hidden items to collect, promote weapons upgrades, and usually cap off a stage with a boss. It's not a metroidvania. You run through Stages which on average are about 5-6 mins in length. There are scarabs to collect that allow you to buy talismans and secret arts that slightly alter your playstyle. Stages also have optional challenges that contribute to a ranking system. Most things die to one hit. Every few stages there is a boss.
It's an action platformer. Has more in common with Crash Bandicoot than a Metroid or Castlevania.
Pretty sure they're using a program that is able to check native framerate despite both consoles being locked to 30I actually assumed I watched the video all wrong last night on my phone while falling asleep because of what everybody is saying. But yeah, it's totally 60 with drops.

This is such a fucking bizarre situation. If it's capped at 30 which is what everyone is reporting, but this guys software shoed Switch 2 is running it close to 60 with drops, then its beyond weird they didn't unlock it for S2.
Then, there's the fact that the dev hasn't made any comments about the situation.
Hate this industry
It's not a metroidvania.
It has similarities but it is not as straightforward as the first NES Ninja Gaiden. The levels have collectibles as side objectives, you get a rank at the end of the level and there is more variety in the players toolset.its Similar to NES games?

I haven't played the second one third one of the NES games so I cannot comment on those.

The best of the NES series.
The third has graphics on the limit power of the NES, but its story is inferior.
The first and second have the most intriguing stories. The third is a prequel to the second, with a good story, but it wasn't superior to the second.
Surely you are shitposting.
Its a straight up hack n slash with extra moves learned along the way. The difficulty is not even close to that of Blashpemous games because its meant more like a singleplayer story campaign versus constantly upgrading adn repeating levels for better gear and powers.Surely you are shitposting.
If they somehow pulled a messenger with this one they still would have to have single levels or give up of the rank system mid game which would be a disaster of a design decision.Nope. It's not a metroidvania. Ragebound doesn't have areas initially inaccessible until the player acquires new abilities or items. There isn't even a map to explore. There are linear individual stages. This is coming from someone only half way through the game so I reserve the right to be wrong in case the game throws us a curveball and turns into The Messenger (which is a metroidvania).
